Buu Saga
Many things have changed since the Z Warriors last battle with Cell. It has been seven years and Gohan is now a High School student. He attends a school in his town called Orange Star High. He also has a girlfriend named Videl. The baby Bulma was carrying, Trunks, is now about seven years old and is best friends with Goten, who is a year younger. Trunks desperately wants an older brother like Goten and is jealous that Goten has Gohan. Goten is the second son of Goku and looks exactly like Goku did when he was young during the original Dragonball. Vegeta settled down with Bulma after Goku died and Krillin married Android 18. Krillin has one daughter named Marron (this is probably because Marron was the name of Krillins old girlfriend). Gohan is training Goten and Vegeta is training Trunks. Both Goten and Trunks amaze Vegeta and Gohan when they become Super Saya-jin at very young ages.
Finally it is time for another Tenkaichi Budoukai World Tournament. Of course, all of the Z Warriors fight in the tournament as they have for years before. Like their fathers, Trunks and Goten love to fight and want to fight as many "strong people" as they can. Goten and Trunks are told they are too young to fight in the tournament. This makes the two children steal another fighter's costume and wear it. The two are revealed when they go against Android 18. This tournament sees the first appearance of The Great Saya-jin man, who is Gohan. It also has Piccolo going against someone announced as Kaio-shin. Piccolo sensed the incredible ki of Kaio-shin and could not fight. Now back to Gohan, who in his fight went SSJ and blew off his costume. This revealed his true identity as Gohan, the geek. Gohan goes against Yamu and Spopobitch who knock him out cold and take his ki with some kind of odd lamp. Spopobitch and Yamu have a black "M" on their foreheads. None of the Z Warriors knows what has happened to Gohan as Yamu and Spopobitch fly off.
Now it is time for Kaio-shin and her partner to reveal themselves. They go over to the Z Warriors and wake up Gohan. They tell that they are gods like Kaio-sama, or King Kai. They explain that they are much more powerful than King Kai and are on a mission to put an end to the ways of Dabura and Babidi. Dabura is the Prince of Darkness, or the Devil, and Babidi is a nasty little thing that wants to kill everything just for the hell of it. Dabura and Babidi are committed to the task of reviving Buu. To awaken Buu, the two need a lot of ki energy. This is why they sent Yamu and Spopobitch to steal Gohan's energy. Now the Earth is in danger once again and the Z Warriors decide to help Kaio-shin and his partner fight Dabura and Babidi. They now follow Spopobitch and Yamu back to the lair of Babidi and Dabura.
The minions of Babidi and Dabura are all killed by the Z Warriors in the battles that come. Now it comes down to Dabura against the Z Warriors. Dabura has an attack called "Stone" and turns Piccolo and Krillin into stone statues. The only way to turn the two back to normal is to kill Dabura. This is just what happens, Dabura is killed and Krillin and Piccolo are brought back to normal. Now it is down to the Z Warriors against one common foe, Babidi.
Now Vegeta learns that becoming the slave of Babidi will increase his power level. Vegeta agrees to become his slave and a black "M" appears on his forehead. The black "M" is the sign for Majin, which means "bad" or "evil person" in Japanese. The Vegeta we know is now Majin-Vegeta. Majin-Vegeta looks forward to fighting "Kakarot" again and defeating him this time. Majin-Vegeta is really the one to blame for the revival of Buu. Without the power he gave to Babidi, Buu would never have been awakened because Babidi wouldn't have had the energy he needed. So Buu is now revived and the saga begins.
Buu, at first, is not what you would expect him to be. He is really fat brown guy. Babidi rides around on Buu's back terrorizing people and destroying cities. Majin-Vegeta finds Goku and knocks him out but soon after he comes to a revelation that changes his life. He realizes that good always triumphs over evil. Now the evil Vegeta that we all love to hate becomes completely good for the first time ever. Now Majin-Vegeta goes to fight Buu. Buu is much stronger than Vegeta. Vegeta sees no way other way to defeat Buu except to use an attack that sacrifices himself. The move uses Vegeta's own life force as power for the attack. The attack fails and Vegeta has killed himself in vain.
Now Goku arrives on the scene to fight Buu. Goku turns to Super Saya-jin 2 and this is still not enough to defeat Buu. Goku gets even madder at himself for not being able to defeat Buu and turns Super Saya-jin 3 for the first time in the series. The two fight again while Bulma gathers all of the dragon balls to bring back the people killed by the Majins. Buu now grows weary of being the slave of Babidi and kills him. Buu cleanses himself by fission, splitting into two parts. One part is pure good and the other is pure evil. The evil part of Buu turns the pure good part into a cookie and consumes it. This allows Buu to transform into a more muscular, meaner looking being.
During all of this, Gohan goes to Kaio-shin's planet to get special training. Just as Goku did a as sign of respect when he received training from Kaio-sama (King Kai), Gohan wears a Karate gi with Kaio-shin's emblem on it. Gohan uses the Z Sword in his training as Kaio-shin teaches him to reach a new level of power without getting angry or going Super Saya-jin.
Now Kaio-shin relives his past and tells Gohan all about how Buu came about. He tells Gohan about his peaceful youth on his home planet. He then tells how Babadi�s ancestor awakened Buu and had Buu kill all of Kaio-shin's family members. Then the remaining Kaio-shin's made Buu fat and locked him away. The only ones left are Kaio-shin himself, his partner, and Dai Kaio-shin.
Now everyone is at Sky Palace (originally Kami's Lookout) again. All of the Z Warriors are there except for Gohan, who is still training under Kaio-shin. Goku taught Goten and Trunks the fusion dance and the two best friends fuse to form Gotenks! Boo senses a "strong" being on Sky Palace so that is where he is heading. He needs to absorb more ki energy to return to the form he was before the Kaio-shin's cursed him into being fat. The "strong" person that Buu is feeling is Gotenks who is training in the Room of Spirit and Time at Sky Palace. When Buu gets there, Piccolo, rather than fighting a much more powerful Buu, tricks him into waiting for Gotenks to come out. Piccolo, being the smartest Z Warrior, knows that time passes slower in the room so Gotenks can train longer while Buu is waiting. Chi Chi also is at Sky Palace and approaches Buu. She yells at him for killing so many people. Buu does what so many of us have wanted to do for years; he turns Chi Chi into an egg and crushes the egg. It really is too bad Gohan wasn't there... I'm sure that would have made his head explode and power up to Super Saya-jin 12.
Now Buu gets weary of waiting for the "strong" person he sensed and says that if they don't take him into the room he will kill everyone at Sky Palace. Piccolo knows he is no match for Buu so he agrees to take him in. Piccolo hopes the two boys are strong enough to defeat Buu. The two boys fuse again and Gotenks is standing up to Buu. Neither side is winning. Piccolo, who is in the room as well, blasts the doorway closed. Piccolo explains that now the three of them are sealed in and now Buu cannot kill any more people. Buu creates a portal to exit the room. Piccolo and Gotenks are now trapped. Super Saya-jin Gotenks alone is too weak to create the same portal so he powers up to Super Saya-jin 3 and succeeds this time. Piccolo and Gotenks now can leave the room and go to fight Buu again. This time Buu is outmatched by the new SSJ3 Gotenks. Sky Palace is destroyed as the two warriors clash and finally Buu is sent hurtling back down to the surface of the Earth. Piccolo and Gotenks go down to the surface as well to look for Buu's dead body. Buu has survived though and Gotenks prepares to fight again. Suddenly, the half hour is up and the fusion wears off. Goten and Trunks alone are not nearly strong enough to face Buu.
Now Gohan is finally through with his training from Kaio-shin. He returns into his father's suit and wishes all of the Kaio-shin's goodbye. Goku envies that he cannot help in the fight and wishes his son good luck. Gohan gets back to Earth just in time to save Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo. Gohan beats up Buu severely and Buu self-destructs himself. Thinking they are victorious, Gohan, Goten, Piccolo, and Trunks fly off. They pick up Mr. Satan and Dende on the way. Suddenly someone flies out of nowhere, its Buu! Goten and Trunks fuse into SSJ3 again and are eager to fight. One of the major symptoms of fusion, cockiness, gets the best of Gotenks as he boasts about how he can beat Buu easily. Suddenly Buu absorbs SSJ3 Gotenks and gets a major power-up. Buu now is powerful enough to overwhelm Gohan. He throws a huge energy ball at Gohan but another energy ball comes out of nowhere and blows away Buu's. The person who threw it was Tienshinhan (Can you believe a non saya-jin can actually fight). Buu makes up another energy attack though.
Elsewhere, King Yemma who we haven't seen since the Saya-jin saga, grants Vegeta life so he could help save the world. Goku now learns about the Portara Earrings, which are used as another way to fuse. The Kaio-shin's tell Goku about the earrings and how each person involved in the fusions wears one earring on opposite ears. Then the people are drawn together in a fusion. Then the Kaio-shin's give Goku both earrings and tell him to give one to Gohan and keep one himself so the father and son can fuse to save the Earth. In order to bring Goku back to life, Kaio-shin gives his life so Goku can live. Suddenly Goku�s halo disappears and Kaio-shin falls to the ground dead. Kaio-shin arises moments later with a halo instead of Goku. Goku thanks them all and teleports back to help save Earth.
Now back to the fight between Buu and Gohan on Earth. Buu is about to finish his energy ball to throw at Gohan. Now Goku teleports at the right time and slices Buu with an attack like a Kienzan. Buu's lower body and antennae are cut off by the attack. Goku tells Gohan about the Portara Earrings and gives one to him. Gohan is about to put it on when Buu's severed antennae absorb Piccolo. Piccolo's great power allows Buu to transform again to a stronger form. Now Buu's legs kick Tienshinhan unconscious and absorb Gohan. Goku is deeply saddened by this until Vegeta shows up and gives Goku hope. Goku fills Vegeta in about the Portara Earrings; Vegeta gets the Earring dropped by Gohan and puts it on. Suddenly the two fuse into Vegitto. Because they use the Portara Earrings, Goku and Vegeta are now fused forever. They are permanently Vegitto. Now the fight gets interesting.
Vegitto is an incredibly powerful being. He has no problem beating Buu but then Vegitto decides to let himself be absorbed by Buu. He does this so that he can save all of his friends that have been absorbed by Buu in the past battles. So now Buu has absorbed every last Z Warrior. As soon as Vegitto enters the inside of Buu, he splits back into Vegeta and Goku. There was something in Buu's digestive system that breaks down whatever "food" enters his stomach. So now the two are separate again and they go off to find their friends. They rescue Goten, Trunks, Piccolo and Gohan. When someone is absorbed into Buu's body they become very small. The Z Warriors were able to get out through one of the pores in Buu's skin. As they leave they return to their normal size. The power that Vegitto gave to Buu allowed him to reach his "original" form. Now the Z Warriors must face the original Buu as he was before the Kaio-shin's cursed him.
Now the fight begins again. Buu creates a huge energy attack and destroys the Earth. Kaio-shin now arrives to help Goku teleport his friends to Kaio-shin's planet. Goku and Kaio-shin are able to teleport Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, Goten, Dende, and Mr. Satan to safety before the Earth explodes. Everyone thinks they are safe for the time being but Buu has followed them to Kaio-shin's planet as well. Goku sees this and fights Buu. Goku gets beaten severely and is weak from his battle. Now, for the first time ever in the entire series, Vegeta admits that Goku is stronger than him. Vegeta now fights Buu and gets beaten as well. Buu is about to kill Vegeta but suddenly Mr. Satan pops up out of nowhere and threatens to beat Buu. Buu throws a single punch but luckily Mr. Satan ducks the attack. Suddenly, Buu keels over in pain and pukes out the good fat Buu. The two Buu�s fight for a while until the good Buu gets knocked out. Now it is up to Goku and Vegeta again to face Buu.
Kaio-shin was told by Vegeta to gather all of the Namekian dragon balls. Kaio-shin does so, summons Porunga, and makes three wishes. The first wish brings back the Earth, the second wish brings all of the innocent people killed by Buu back to life, and finally the third wish is saved for a later time. Now everyone is back on the restored Earth except for Vegeta, Goku, and Buu who are still fighting on Kaio-shin's planet. Goku now prepares his most powerful attack, the Genki Dama, in the hopes that it can defeat Buu. Vegeta draws the attention of Buu away from Goku so he can form his Genki Dama without being attacked. Now, back on Earth, the Z Warriors tell everyone to raise their hands to the sky. Doing this will give energy to Goku�s Genki Dama. Nobody believes the Z warriors because they think it is another one of Buu's tricks. They won't raise their hands until their hero, Mr. Satan, is the first to raise his hands and offer his energy. Now everyone on Earth does so and Goku�s Genki Dama is complete.
Goku throws his Genki Dama and gets a direct hit on Buu. But, it is still not enough; Buu holds back the energy ball with his body. All hope is lost until Kaio-shin makes the last wish that he saved. He wishes to restore Goku to full energy. Goku uses his new energy to add to the power of the Genki Dama and Buu is finally killed. The battle is won.
Now the good fat Buu wakes up. The Z warriors debate whether or not to kill him but Mr. Satan begs them not to. He says that this Buu saved his life. The good fat Buu is allowed to live and, because he is strong, he joins the Z Warriors.
Ten years later...
Goten and Trunks are now in their teens. Gohan is out of high school and married his girlfriend Videl. They have a five year-old daughter named Pan. Goku wished the evil Buu back to life so he can fight him again. The wish cleanses Buu of all evil and reincarnates him as a boy named Uubu. Uubu is very strong and receives special training from Goku. There is peace on Earth.
