Gabriel "Panther" Fairbanks

He was born on June 30, 1985 in Boston Massachusetts. He lived there up until he joined the X-Men. For the most part, he's able to avoid the ridiculous "pahked the cah in havahd yahd" accent.

He had a pretty normal childhood. Well, what he thought was normal. He'd always been particularly fond of animals, which is why his living in the city was so unfortunate. As a child, he could spend hours with the house cat or even the gerbil. His parents didn't realize his mutation until Gabe sat them down and explained.

They were very supportive, as he had known they would be. The three discussed their options and Gabriel decided it would be best to move to Bayville. It was one of the hardest things he'd ever done, leaving his parents, his two younger sisters and his girlfriend, Jade.

He and Jade had been dating since their Freshman year. She had been the first person that Gabriel had revealed his mutation to. He had not expected her to take it as well as she did. She broke it off with him when he decided that he needed formal training at Xavier's Institute.

He had been in Bayville for a few months when a blond beauty caught his eye. He finally broke through her barriers and the two began dating. Later, he discovered that she, too, was a mutant. He convinced her to join the X-Men.

He introduced the girl to Storm who later revealed to him that the girl's self-hatred would be something the Professor should deal with. She also warned Gabriel that Fey's fears and feelings towards mutants may one day hurt him. He didn't care, so she sent the two to Japan.
