Fey "The Myth" Keely

Fey was born in Ireland on October 1, 1985. Her parents moved to Rhode Island when she was six years old. She lived there until she was twelve, about a year after her powers surfaced. They had been studying mythology, the Pegasus specifically. She had been daydreaming and, suddenly, her shape shifted into that of a winged horse.

Her powers surfaced during the early years of the mutant/human issue. The children had taunted her, the adults had harassed her, even her own parents treated her differently. So she ran. She moved to New York City where she lived in a shelter, being careful about revealing what she was. She had very little, only a blanket and a few pairs of clothing. Also, a stuffed animal her now dead grandmother had given her as a gift. She still has it to this day.

She managed to talk her way into school and, as soon as she was old enough, got a job at a grocery store. She saved up for about year and was able to get herself a small apartment. She kept a GPA of 4.0 and worked nearly everyday after school. She was as content as possible in New York until the conflict erupted.

After the creation of the sentinels and the interest in a Mutant Registration Act, Fey decided that she should move away from the city. She assumed that, in a smaller town, she would have less to fear. So she moved to Bayville. Little did she know that that was where the X-Men's base was. She went to school for a few weeks before she met Gabriel, a newly recruited X-Man.

The two began dating, despite Fey's fear of getting involved with someone. She didn't want what she was to cause someone to turn away or, worse, get caught in the crossfire. It was both fortunate and unfortunate that it turned out that Gabriel was too a mutant. She had been programmed to hate what she was, but she could no longer fear what Gabriel would think of her or that he would get hurt.

Gabriel convinced her to check out the X-Men. She decided to join at Storm's insistance. After about a week at the Institute, Storm and Xavier had decided to send the pair to Japan with the others.
