Love Lost

by Skye Haerrington

Originally written from the point of view of Kallenae, my longest running Role-Playing character

Pain so profound like a dull dagger driving
deep into my core. You are gone. The words,
they escape my lips but they do not gain
access into the caverns of my incredulous mind.
We two were each one half of a now broken
heart, a soul that resided within two bodies.
Tears pour down my cheeks as though my face
were a great waterfuall. You left me alone in
a world without it's one great, shining star.
How could you forsake me like this? What
have I done to deserve such punishment,
who have I offended? Gods in the heavens,
take anything from me, even my own life as
trade, just let me be with him once more.
But what diety would hear my prayers,
wicked and unclean as I am? Yet you
saw beyond all that, my handsome archangel,
and now you are gone like night turned to day.
I love you and I will work every moment of
everyday for the rest of my life so I am
worthy to remain forever in Paradise, by
your side my sweet, doting, lost love.
