Labels
by Betsy
Wish I could be someone other than me,
Of course, that's what everyone wants, right?
Someone more popular, prettier, happier...
Doesn't matter about the inside anymore.
Nobody goes for your personality,
As long as you got the looks for them to brag about.
Sociality is always worth more than compatibility.
Stuff going on no one mentions, no one cares.
No one in this school system is treated as equal,
Everyone has a classification we all fall under...
Brains, Preps, Nerds, Band Geeks, Jocks,
Wanna-Bes, Freaks, Punks, Normal, Goths...
What about those who can't be labeled?
Are we just labeled 'Strange' and left at that?
We're all unique, that's what we're told.
Yet, nearly everyone has the exact same 'style'.
Trends keep fading in and out of style and fashion.
You all make fun of those who break the 'trend'
Or make one of their own, why can't you just keep to yourself?
Well, think about this, the 'Strange' ones are making fun of you too.
Following trends like them, you're just another clone...
