Change This, Change That
by Lisboa Miraflores
Graduation Day
you sat beside me in the stiff plasic
chairs.
Alder. Alvers.
Your collar kept falling, starched
black thing,
and you,
nervous, told me about
Washington.
So I stuck a pin through
the fabric
and said everyone falls,
sometimes,
but you've just gotta
stand.
And you stood
and walked away from me.
