The Forest Realm is kind of like a retirement home for older beasts. It is also a nursery for younger beasts that would not survive in the Realms they were born in. When they are old enough to fend for themselves, they select a Realm, and move into their new home.
The Forest Realm is one of the oldest realms of Dracogrex. When discovered, it was ordinary Taiga. And it still is...with the exception of spells and Dragons.
