| Risky and I had a wonderful experience on our trip down to California! Risky was a star, as usual, and did very well in her first Second level dressage test! She got tired as the week progressed, but still ended up placing over the elegant warmbloods in her classes! We encountered some inclement weather as tornados were spotted in the area, so one of our tests was post-poned and moved into the main indoor arena at 8:30 at night! Being able to watch the CDI 3* competitors was amazing, and I hope we can get there someday! Nick was a wonderful groom the whole week, making sure the boots stayed shiney and all my rides got on tape! Nick's horse Morgan came along for the ride and was a very good companion to Risky. He even got to school in the dressage ring and we went on a nice hack down the roads by the cross-country course. |
| Peteton Farm Dressage Schooling Show, Olympia, WA, April 16th, 2005 Class #2, Intro level tests A & B: 1st Place: Kelsey Johnson and McCormick: Intro test B, 62% 2nd Place: Kimberly Boyle and Trix of the Trade: Intro test B: 60% 3rd Place: Kimberly Boyle and Trix of the Trade: Intro test A: 58% 4th Place: Kelsey Johnson and McCormick: Intro test A: 56% The girls had a rough start with trailer loading issues, incliment weather, and not enough time to warm up, but they did a great job on hyper horses! Their second tests were much better, very accurate, and more relaxed! |
