Okay, I guess I'm gonna use this page to write about Penny! Well, Penny used to have a really long tail. I guess she just grew into it!
As you can see in some of her photos, she is wearing clothes! Her very first piece of clothing was a red shirt. She posed with her red shirt with her leg up in the air. I thought that was so cute, I took a picture! We tried to put Penny's red shirt on Chowder. It was a little tight for him! hee hee! Then, she lost her red shirt....or did I just misplace it? Hee hee…oh well. Well, I got Penny another shirt. This time, it was pink. She still has this one! Penny doesn't like wearing clothes very much. She will let me put clothes on her, though. What ag good attitude! (well, most of the time!)
It was pretty fun teaching her tricks. (most of the time) One of her first tricks was to sit. This was pretty simple. I just pushed her butt down and said sit and gave her a piece of meow mix. Now, she will sit on my command! Cool Beans!
Teaching her to grab started out as a mistake (for me, that is). I was holding a piece of meow mix (one of her favorites) in front of her. She started walking to it and I kept moving it away from her. Finally, she grabbed it. Then, I said the word,“grab.” Now she will grab my hand (to reveal a piece of meow mix) on command. And from that, came double grab- she will grab with both of her paws.
Another trick she can do is to go over and under. I used my arm as a stick. I will reach to touch the wall. Guess what I had in the other one? A piece of meow mix! (of course!) I held it in front of her. The first few times, she wanted to grab it, but it was too far away from her. So, she jumped to the other side. But, at times, she will want to go under. I would block her from going under. So she just had tojump to get to the piece of meow mix. Teaching Penny to go under was just the opposite.
I don’t know why but, every time me and my brother try to give her a bath, she always pees in the tub! Sometimes, she will poop! Speaking of peeing (hee hee), every time we go for a long trip, she will pee in her cage! Maybe her plan is…while we’recleaning the pee (or poop), she can escape! Of course, this never worked! :o)~
I remember the 1st say I got Penny! She was so active. I sat on "the" table (the one we use now to play attack) and let her chase a little toy. She was so playful...and small! And the 1st night we got her, she meowed like crazy! We had to lock her in the cage. (But, the cage was pretty big.) She kept us up all night! She would turn upside down and poke her paws through the little holes! But, she got over it, after a few days...
When she was little, she used to attack feet! It was a funny, crazy show!
What I think is weird and funny about Penny is...that whenever she wakes up, she hugs herself! Well, she will tuck her head in her arms and tighten her arms. So, I guess you can call it "hugging her face."
