There has to be more out there, or so I'm often told
The gift is to open up your heart, wonders to unfold
If a star should fall for each mistake I make
The skies would be so barren, the future looking bleak
On this day I vow, a promise meant to keep
I will grasp each moment given, giving back to those I meet
A helping hand, Drying a tear...
A kind word here and there
A warm embrace, The light upon a childs face
I will take time the time , to smell the flowers
Forget the chores that seem to take hours
Enjoy the wonders life has given
Knowing I will be forgiven
