Happy Birthday Love!!!!!!
It is Scott's birthday. He hates birthdays of course. Loves to have mine the day before and always wants to surprise me for whatever reason. I'm not much for surprises, but Scott's got one coming tonight.
I got up this morning and it's not just cold, it's freezing. They are saying this will be the coldest week of the year and I believe it. Of course the news puts that there are delays in some of the bus routes of our school district and in our area, but doesn't say where. So I'm scrambling to get information. Then Scott calls telling me that he heard there was delays also. Don't call me unless you know what is going on honey!! So I'm scrambling to get information. I tell the two girls to wait until I tell them to go out, because I don't want them out in this weather for too long. I finally get the information and it's nothing to worry about, but now I've got to rush the girls out the door. GO GO, hurry and if the bus has already gone I'll take you to school. Okay, so now it's almost 7:30 and I don't hear the bus stop. I find my jacket, shoes and keys, can't forget the keys and go outside to the 4runner(Scott took my truck to work today) and the doors are frozen shut. I finally get the front door open, get in, start it up. HOLY COW IT'S FLIPPIN COLD!! I hate this vehicle, it doesn't warm up at all and my windshield is completely froze. I have to get the girls to school. I get the window to roll down and start down the driveway with my head out the window like a dog.
I get down the drive, pick up the girls, the doors are still frozen shut so they have to climb through the one that's not. And then wait for the windshield to thaw enough to get down the road. THIS SUCKS! Finally, I can see through a small 6 inch space at the bottom of the window and start down the road. Success, I get them to school. Two down and two more to go. The Rissa and Ky got to school just fine, without me getting in the freezer again.
Did I mention it's FREAKIN COLD!!!! Three more days of under freezing weather and then some sunny skies. I need to ride. I'm getting cabin fever. Last night I almost went out and grabbed a horse for a cold and dark ride, but I just couldn't get myself out there. 17 degrees to some of you might be warm this time of year, but this isn't Colorado or Canada. February better bring that 70 degree week that we usually have cause I need it.
I'll let you know how things go with Scott's birthday. I'm going to surprise him with a cake when he gets home from getting Brie tonight. I can't wait.
