Rockin R Ranch
About our funny farm ranch life.
Entry for December 23, 2006

Today was an interesting day. I had a mother and daughter come check out our facility. I think she'll board with us. They were very nice and I think they liked everything. I'd like to see more people like them come out.

We cut down an old oak tree next to the house. The trunk was pretty much all that was left, but it was over 30 feet high and less then 10 feet from the livingroom. Scott was afraid that it would fall on the house, so while it was raining we heaved and ho'd while Scott used the chain saw and we pulled it down. On the fence of coarse, but it only knocked a wooden fence post down. I put in a t-post and called it good. Talk about drowned rats. We all were soaked. Then we get back into the house and the sun comes out.

Two more days til Christmas. There are so many presents under our tree it's unbelievable. These girls of mine are going to make out like bandits. I have to say thank you to the foster parent association and the people that bought presents for them. They always work hard and getting these kids what they want. Also, Thanks goes out to Rainey's Market, which is just up the road. Chloe really works hard for our small community. And also, Trail Christion Fellowship for their angel gifts. I remember only getting maybe 4 or 5 presents for Christmas. The girls probably have over 15 gifts each. Holy Cow!!!!!

I will be so glad when it's all over though. Then I can start thinking about novis barrel racing with Northwest Pro Rodeo. Yee-Haw!!!
