Rockin R Ranch
About our funny farm ranch life.

Three days after my birthday and we are hard set in winter's delight. Freezing fog has taken over our lives for the next several days. The barn faucets have frozen solid, making us carry several buckets of water to the paddock and some of the stalled horses. Luckily, our creek is still running and the field horses can get some water. I'm not sure if it's better to have snow or this. We are getting flakes of ice falling.  The weather man says it's not snow but because it's so cold and the fog is condensed moisture, the fog is literally turning into ice and dropping to the ground. Still sounds like snow if you ask me and the girls. I think snow is a bit better though. When it's snowing it usually feels a bit warmer, but this is just plain cold. In the teens at night and barely in the twenties during the day. It's time for that hot chocolate, a warm fire and blankets for all of us.

Today we went in to see if we can get permenant guardianship on our 14 yo foster daughter. Looks like things are a go. I'm excited that she can now be considered our daughter. We have worked hard on her and now we get to see her grow up into a beautiful young woman. Well, that's all for tonight.
