About Us
Welcome to Majestic Pine's Satins & High Prairie Bunnies (which is the girls' rabbitry name).  Our rabbitry is currently located mainly in our entire 2-car garage, with an overflow area that was recently completed which is outdoors.  We live in central Colorado, in the high plains around beautiful "Majestic Ponderosa Pines".  We hope to begin building a dedicated rabbit barn in 2006, making for easier maintenance so that we can spend more time with the bunnies.

We all got interested in rabbits in the Summer of 2002.  Chelsea got her first rabbit from a neighbor (
Thumper, a Holland Lop) that was no longer interested in rabbits.  Although he is too old to show, he still has a place in our rabbitry.  Patti/Gale McAtee would tell us of all these exciting stories about these ARBA shows, as well as National Conventions.  Little did we know at that time, that we would ever show rabbits, or even attend an ARBA National Show!  Brianna then picked up her first group of Mini Lops at the Elbert Country Fair (Smokey and Angel).  Both showed very well for her, with Smokey becoming a Grand Champion very quickly.  Diana then got interested in Red Satins once the girls started showing in ARBA sanctioned shows.  Although, her Reds didn't show very well, she soon got interested in Whites and Blacks and hasn't looked back.

Everyone has at least one Best In Show with their breeds.  We've learned that it really pays to start with the BEST stock available to you.  We've all made so many good friends and that has been the most enjoyable thing to all of us.  It has really become a wonderful family experience.

Chelsea (
our Holland Lop lover) owes a great deal to Allan & Becky Ormond, who she has received some super breeding stock from (including an old favorite of Allan's, "Huckleberry").  She has also been helped along by Patty & Jennifer Miller, Kay & Marcia Miller, Peggy Lynch, Karen Legino, Janet Smith, the Belokonny's, and great morale support from the Chrisp family

Brianna (
who concentrates on Mini Lops mostly), has been helped along by Jody Bean, Patti/Gale/Melissa McAtee, the Schmidt's, the Katz's, and Loretta Karl. Both girls also have their own Satins & New Zealands which they mainly use for breeding of meat pens/fryers for their local county fair, but do show them as they come into prime condition.

Diana got a good start with satins from
Janay Lyon, and then later a major push in the introduction of lines from Randy Shumaker, Mike Avesing, Peralta/Smith, and R.C. Crowe, including stock from Billy Cooper/Bob Harris, and Derrick Tuntland ("The Kid"). We are currently working on developing our own lines (from our TOP foundation stock), particularly in white satins.  So far, so good!  Check with us and visit our "Available Stock" page to see what we have available for sale.

We currently have around 100 holes for all 3 of the major breeds that we raise.  It is very challenging competitively, showing multiple breeds.
