A Soccer story cnt.
The next day Roberto was walking to school with his good friends Shoma and Natsu, who were as you guessed it Arguing like crazy.
Aparently, Shoma had said somthing, Roberto wasn't really paying attention because he just tuned them out as allways.
Natsu shook her head and brushed a peice of fuzz from her skirt.
"Shoma, please hush I'm not in the mood to argue now!"
Shoma laughed raising an eyebrow "Oh, but your raising your voice at me now."
Natsu rolled her eyes not even acknowlaging his last comment.
"I have to show a new student the school grounds, but I don't want have time for the soccer fields. Roberto could you do that for me?"
Roberto looked up and blinked he hadn't been listening to a single word.
"Hm? What do you want me to do Natsu?"
She rolled her eyes and adjusted her book bag on her shoulder.
"Could you please show the new student the soccer fields?" She was practicly pleading with him now.
He nodded yes, agreeing happy to help. As they approched the front gates the sun was shining and the day was warm, a comfortable spring morning.
Waving goodbye Natsu ran inside early to meet with the student she would be helping.
Shoma soon to ran off going to talk to a group of fellow baseball clubers leaving Roberto alone.
As classes started he headed down the hall going to Math, sitting down he was startled by a tap on the shoulder.
He got another suprise when he turned around. Nina was sitting behind him wearing a Gorin polo shirt and blue skirt, her long hair back in a ponytail.
"Nina? What are you doing here?" he asked
She laughed softly "Getting an education and playing soccer. Is that a crime?"
He smiled shaking his head, knowing she was right.
He turned around and class seemed to drag on forever for him. Math wasnt his best subject and Slope intercepts were like a martian language.
He was staring at a blank paper, tapping his pencil trying not to break it in half. Nina leaned over and giggled in his ear.
"Eh?" he muttered
"Roberto Miura. Not finnishing your Maths work are we? do we need help Robbie?" she asked a smile still on her lips, she called him Robbie-Roberto when they were younger and the name stuck he hated it but now when he heard it, it sent somthing to him.
He shook his head. "I'm just.. uh.."
"Stuck?" she asked handing him a calculator.
He nodded "thanks."
He looked at the paper some more before she kneeled next to his desk.
She took up his pencil, and started to explain it to him. Somehow the way she spoke and pointed out, he understood it and was able to finnish the assignment.
The day wore on and he couldn't stop thinking about the way he felt. He had his best friend back, but it felt diffrent somehow, somthing he couldn't quite put his finger on.
As he put on some shorts and a t-shirt he ran out to the soccer fields adjusting his visior. Nina ran out short after him, her hair flowing freely, wearing athletic pants and a t-shirt, she was adjusting her sunglasses.
When he saw her he knew what it was.Roberto Muira, the quiet shy goalie, the mediator bettwen two friends who argued but secretly liked eachother. Was falling in love with his best
friend.
