A Soccer Story
A Rival Schools Fanfic
by Honey Maivia

Roberto sat on the soccer fild, wiping the persperation from his forehead, his well worn blue visor in his right hand, a soccer ball in the other.
His team mates sat in the stands, some on the fild, practice was over for the day and Roberto was just about to get his things together and leave, when he was approached by a girl with short curly jet black hair.
She was wearing a Gorin High Soccer Jersey, a soccerball under her arm. She smiled brightly, brushing hair from her lucious brown eyes.

"Hello Roberto" she said with a bright smile upon her face.

"How did you know my name?" he asked, some supicion and curiosity in his eyes.

She smiled an even brighter smile.

"Your Mother told me you probably wouldn't rember me." she replied, throwing the soccer ball up into the air, bouncing it from eacho knee, then her foot and back up in a cycle.

He blinked, not knowing what to say.

"Well.. I am sorry I do not rember." he said softly, cracking his knuckles.

"Well, I didnt think you would. But you kept your part of the promise, so I'm keeping mine." she said with a grin, kicking the ball into the air and bouncing it off her head. It landed cleanly into her hands. She waved to him, turned around and ran off.

"What an odd girl." he said shaking his head.

He grabbed up his things, and headed home. His Mother was waiting in the doorway her face bright, another car was in the driveway.

"Roberto! hurry up inside and get cleaned up, we have company!." she said excitidly as she shoved him into the house, taking his things from him and pushing him towards the bathroom.

"Mom! Slow down! whats going on? What company?" he asked as he tried to get out of the bathroom doorway and try to talk to his mother who grabbed his gloves and visor.

A few mins later, he stepped out from the shower and dressed, getting into dark blue jeans, and a white tshirt.
His mother smiled, and pointed to the Kitchen, when Roberto walked in, he saw her agin, the girl from the soccer fild.

"Hi Robbie!"She said with that same smile.

That smile was so familar he knew it from somewhere but he didnt know where.

"Well, Roberto, arent you going to say hello to Nina?" his mother asked, taking a seat

Roberto's eyes went wide. Nina, the girl that moved away when he was younger, they had started playing soccer together, and now they would play together once more. They hugged tightly and smiled looking each other over.

"you've grown into that eh?" she said with a smile, grabbing at his visor.

"Yeah, I have, and you grew into that."he retorted pointing at her She laughed.

"we were looking into schools, Justice looks pretty promising, and the most demanding." she said with a distant look out the window.
