Remove the Minimize, Maximize and Close Tooltips (All Versions)
 

When you move your mouse over the three control boxes on a standard Window frame it will show tooltip text for each item. This tweak controls that function.

Open your registry and find the key below. You may need to create the key if it does not already exist.

Create a new String value, or modify the existing value, called 'MinMaxClose' and edit the value according to the settings below.

Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

Registry Settings

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
Value Name: MinMaxClose
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)
