Pittsburgh area map

                         PITTSBURGH

Where Ohio river gets his name. The "Golden Triangle", and a walk through the valleys of the Allegheny, Monongahela
and Youghiogheny reveals a dense mixture of industry, work houses and railways. Coal, steel, aluminium, glass. We are
at the beginning of XX Century, of course. Pittsburgh, the old "Fort Pitt", was the "Steel city". Barons of steel like Andrew Carnegie built up the great companies like US Steel, Jones & Laughlin, Pittsburgh Steel, National Steel . .
Alcoa, Westinghouse Electric, because no all was steel. The incredible downtown: The "Golden Triangle", the Strip, the South Side, the inclines, Union Station . .

A dense metropolitan area, from Connellsville to McKeesport. From Latrobe to Aliquippa. From Carnegie to New Kensignton.
Pittsburgh is today the commercial, educational and cultural hub of Western Pennsylvania. An exciting "new city" that
focuses in innovation, high tech, and also do not forget his past, with the "Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area" project.
