November 16th - Skinart update: Dick Tattoo has added a custom piece to his right forearm. The Egyptian God Thoth. He is the scribe, who taught the alphabet, and reading and writing. The tat is from Dicks wrist up to his elbow. Jerry Thomas did the work at Toucan Tattoo, as usual.
November 11th - Dick Tattoo totaled his 1988 Ford F-150 pickup truck today. Cruising through downtown Norfolk, VA to meet up with a friend for a real estate showing, Dick Tat smashed into a Chevrolet Suburban at an intersection. The Suburban was t-boned on the drivers side. Tattoo was rushed by ambulance to the hospital with facial cuts and fractures, as well as busted ribs. The occupant of the other vehicle was not hurt.
October 1st - Dick Butter wrecked his Harley last night. He was traveling on a back road at about 60 miles per hour and could not avoid a log that someone had placed in the roadway. He hit the log, which threw him over the handlebars, and tumbled across the pavement while his sled did cartwheels behind him. After waking up in an ambulance, he was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released. Massive road rash, cuts, scrapes and bruises, but thankfully no broken bones.
September 30th - Dick Tattoo added to his skinart today. Jerry Thomas of Toucan Tattoo inked in a full color custom piece of Anubis, the Egyptian God of the underworld from Dick Tattoos wrist to his elbow on his left forearm. The tattoo was done in about 2 hours.
September 17th - 24th - 24th - Dick Tattoo, Dick Bag (aka Evil Ernie from Reign Of Terror) & Dick Inker (aka Jerry Thomas from Toucan Tattoo) took Sin City Las Vegas by storm as soon as they stepped off the plane. Scoring round trip non-stop plane tickets for $200 apiece, the trip was off to a great start. Picking up the rental car, KOMP (the GREATEST station in the Nation) kicked "Wild Side" by Motley Crue as soon as we started the car. Dick Tattoo then proceeded at 80 miles an hour to the closest liquor store (inside Terribles Hotel/Casino) and 2 fifths of Jack and a bottle of rum were purchased. The rule of the trip was "a fifth a day in the room and/or car, a fifth a day on the casino floor". Concerts (George Thorogood at Mandalay Bay Hotel/Casino & Rush at MGM Grand Hotel/Casino), gambling (baccarat, slots, craps, blackjack & video poker), free drinks in every casino, porno, naked bitches in peep show booths, naked bitches live on stage, go-go bars that actually sell liquor, liquor stores that NEVER close, go-go bars that LET YOU BRING YOUR OWN LIQUOR IN, roller coasters, Heavy Metal on the radio 24 hours a day (we're talking DIO "Holy Diver" at 6 am, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Scorpions, Ratt, Judas Priest, Ozzy.... ALL DAY EVERY DAY!), monorails, Liberace's house, tigers, sharks, moray eels, comped hotel rooms, comped restaurants, pockets full of won money and drunken dabauchery were the norm for the "Three Vegas Kings No Bar Too Far Tour". Dick Tattoo (King Of Vegas), Dick Inker (King Of Free Drinks), & Dick Bag (King Of Conversation) have all agreed to return soon. If you ain't never been there, you just don't know how it is.....
September 14th - Dick Tattoo picked up his Dyna Superglide from the shop today. He wrecked it after a show back in May (see the entry below for May 24th), and had $4500 worth of work done to repair it. He gets it back just in time too, as his Sportster blew out the fuel valve a few days ago. Tattoo will have a few days of riding time before heading out to Vegas for a week.
July 25th - Be sure to tune into CMT this Saturday, July 27th, 2002 @ 1:30 pm EST as Dick Photog performs live on stage with the Legendary Outlaw Willie Nelson before a sold out crowd at the NORVA in downtown Norfolk, Va.� If you can't catch that show, Dick will return to the stage Sunday evening July 28th at 8 pm eastern standard time.� Don't miss this rare performance. July 16th - .... and then, the wagon just fucking burst into flames.....
June 22nd - Dick Tattoo topped off his right sleeve today. Riding his Sportster (his Dyna SuperGlide is wrecked and has not been repaired yet) up to Toucan Tattoo, he had Jerry Thomas ink in a custom drawn New York City skyline on his outside shoulder behind his Statue Of Liberty tat. It is fucking bad ass, surely to bring Jerry and Toucan another trophy. It ties in with the Statue Of Liberty, American flag and Confederate flag tats on his upper arm.
June 21st - Dick Butter made the trip up to see Jerry Thomas at Toucan Tattoo today. When all was said and done, Butter left with some new custom ink. On his left calf he now has a black Ace Of Spades with a banner across it that says "Eat The Rich" in blue. We will be posting a new ink section on this site soon.
May 24th - Dick Tattoo totaled his 1995 Harley-Davidson Dyna Glide Friday night after the show at Otis's Raw Bar & Grill in Chesapeake, VA. The rear tire blew out in a curve on the on-ramp to interstate 664 and he had no choice but to lay that fucker down. When he realized that the sled was going down, he rolled off of it at the last second, and luckily the bike did not land on top of him. Although he was not wearing his leather at the time (he had on a sleeveless t-shirt) he was not cut up during the wreck, which is a miracle in itself. No broken bones either, although he has stated that his shoulders "feel as if someone hit them both with a sledgehammer". Thanks to everyone who made it out to our show that night, and we hope you all made it home in better condition than Dick Tattoo.
May 18th - THE RENEGADES OF SLUTS official photographer, Dick Photog was the Grand Prize winner in the Country Music Televisions "CMT Got Me In With The Band" contest. His entry beat out THOUSANDS of other contestants and he was selected to spend the day wih the Red Headed Stranger himself, shoot a round of golf with Willie, got VIP backstage passes to both of the sold out shows in Norfolk, VA, and actually got to jam with the band onstage during the first night of the two night engagement. The entire day was filmed for broadcast on CMT this fall, as soon as we get the air date, it will be posted here. The second night, Dick Photog had Dick Dog & Dick Tattoo along as his special guests. Hanging out backstage before showtime and then after watching the sold out, over 2 1/2 hour show, they all got to meet Willie and get pictures taken with him, as well as his long time drummer of 36 (!) years Paul English, and Willies beautiful daughter Paula. The outlaw was super cool, played one hell of a show, made sure everyone got their moneys worth, and just basically kicked ass. Dick Tattoo even gave Willie a copy of THE RENEGADES OF SLUTS full length debut CD. Anybody who talks shit about Willie Nelson should have their ass kicked!
