ALL FOR ROCK & ROLL
(true story - read all about it in the entry for July 6th
in the SLAG section on this site)

Sittin' here with a fractured wrist and a broken nose
Alot of folks would complain about it but that's just the way it goes
Two black eyes and a headache that just won't go away
In this life of Rock & Roll that's just the price you pay
Could stop drinkin' on stage, before or during our set
If you put money on that, you're sure to lose your bet

Whiskey, pain pills and an ambulance
As I slowly dig this hole
I did it before and I'll do it again
It's all for Rock & Roll

Emergency room 'til 6 AM with blood streamin' down my face
They have my records on file, I'm a regular in this place
Sign in, take a number, have a seat 'til we call your name
Some people take it serious, to me it's just a game
Strapped & wrapped & bandaged up, sign on the dotted line
With my fifth of Jack and bottle of pills I'll soon be feelin' fine

Whiskey, pain pills and an ambulance
As I slowly dig this hole
I did it before and I'll do it again
It's all for Rock & Roll
