Mainland Robotics Team is a partnership of College of the Mainland Foundation, LaMarque High School and Texas City High School.  The team won the 2004 ACC / MATE / MTS Texas Regional and competed at the MATE / MTS national contest in Santa Barbara, CA, and ranked 4th overall out of 23 teams from Hawaii, California, Texas, Florida, New England and Canada.

The team entered a more complex 'Explorer' class in 2005 which competes only on the national level.  We experienced a catastrophic failure during a practice round and completely re-configured the robot in one night.  ArgoNavis eventually scored a few points, leaving the team in 8th place in a field of 16 (primarily colleges such as California State, Monterey Pennisula, MIT, Miami Dade, Univ. California- Davis). 
Donations...The team is funded by grants, contributions and in-kind donations made to College of the Mainland Foundation, 1200 Amburn Rd, Suite 148, Texas City, TX 77591.
