Well...It has been awhile since I have updated the site, eh? I know I know ...I still have not written up that crate training page for all of you who have been waiting for it...I will get it up and linked soon...I promise. I have not even seen this site myself since Christmas!
Guess what!! I am in the midst of looking for a new horse (NO NO NO...Nova is not going anywhere...she is special and will not be leaving me anytime soon. I will still be doing a lot of my personal schooling with her, and she may be used by Georgia in a lesson program... not sure yet) . The NEW HORSE will be your average, everyday athletic superhero sort who is a little hotter and will take me to higher levels.
Bad news...Moosie, my baby, was hit by a car a few weeks ago. She is OK...although we had first thought her pelvis may be broken. It is not, but she did suffer some mouth injury involving broken teeth which will stop her show career dead in its tracks. I am very sorry about this, but to be honest, I do not really care all that much as long as she is safe. I love this dog very much, and have some wonderful and supportive people in my life who were there to help me keep it together for her... I am so lucky to have you all :).
School is almost out for the summer (isn't that a song?), but I will still be doing the summer session as well as a possible work study for the university (in addition to long days at the farm...cruel summer) (hey look! Another song!)
I am trying to let school NOT interfere with my riding for this summer (it is usually the other way around), but the university has offered me a well-compensated position...I may just have to take it:)
I am looking forward to a lot of changes with this Spring...I'll keep you posted. I know I am really excited...
