The Maine Turnpike Authority is in charge of maintenance, toll plazas, and broken-down vehicles on the Maine Turnpike. They often coordinate activities and communicate with Maine State Police Troop G out of South Portland, who are in charge of patrolling the Maine Turnpike. The Maine Turnpike runs roughly from the southernmost point of I-95 in Maine northwards through Portland, then up I-495 through Auburn and Lewiston, and ends when I-495 meets I-95 again in Augusta.

151.070 and 160.770 have the same traffic on them and repeat each other. There is a 160.770 repeater near Gardiner, Maine, and there are several 151.070 repeaters south of that location down through Portland to Kittery. There are also plans for another 160.770 repeater in York, Maine. It is anticipated that this will carry the same traffic as 151.070.

Also monitor 156.150 (Maine State Police Zone 1 Primary) and 154.650 (Maine State Police Zone 2 Primary) when traveling on the Turnpike. Although Troop G does get dispatched by the Turnpike Authority, they are also dispatched through the Primary State Police frequencies.
