The author of this webpage and his co-authors have been researching Maine mining history for about 30% of the bicentennial time and they anticipate having books available which recount the details of Oxford County mining history.
A special request is being made to people who have personal knowledge and family tales of Maine mining, to share their stories to enrich the historical record. Photos, diaries, letters, newspaper clippings, etc. are being sought which contain details to add to the history.
