The LAS VEGAS GAY PRIDE was held at Sunset Park, Sunday, May 8th. The parade started promptly at 9:30 am with a cheering crowd at the grand stands. The Judges: TONY, PRINCESS ANN, TONI JAMES and STRUTT had a tough time deciding which float would win the awards for Las Vegas Pride 98. At time of print, the only winners I heard about were NEVADA OUTDOORS for best float and N.G.R.A. for the spirit award. The weather for the parade was tremendously better then last year. Temperatures were in the upper 80s with a bit of wind, just to temper the temperature. The energy of the crowd was high and very festive. Most of the bars in town had booths at the festival and giving away anything from free drinks at their bar, to prizes for just playing the games they had set up.
Now sit back and enjoy the pictures taken that weekend. If you have plenty of time, on AOL and want to see the picture in much more detail, go to My AOL at the top of your screen. Hit preferences, WWW, Web Graphics and then uncheck Use compressed graphics. If your on a MAC, your on your own!
