Exercises
§At the beginning of each class exercises will be given.
§Exercises are teamwork; each exercise score of the group will be recorded as the score of the students who participated the group study.
§Exercise is based on the knowledge that you learned of the previous class. (Including the fundamental definitions, principles and the simple application of the method that we have learned in the class.)
§Altogether, all the exercises will count for 20% of the grade. Students who do not attend sections will get grades of 0 on exercises missed.
§Two of the lowest exercises score can be dropped at the end of the semester.
§No make-up exercise will be give.
§The top 5 students with the highest exercises score (before dropping) will get 5 extra credits on their final exam.
Exams
§2 midterm exams and 1 final exam will be given. Each is 25% of the grade.
§The final exam will be a comprehensive one, it will cover all the materials we have learned this semester, and 30% of the grade.
§You can not drop any score of exams.
§The date of exams will be announced at least 1 week before the exam.

Some Policies of this class
Make-Up Policy
§Generally no make-up exercise, exam will be given.
§Any make-up requests must be medical in nature, and must be accompanied by a signed document from a health professional that indicates the nature of the illness, and the reason that the exam could not be taken.
§No make-up quiz or exam will be given after handing out of the answer key.
Drop policy
§Students who want to drop the course must send me the withdraw form and will get a “w” before, July 20th. After this date, I will not sign any withdrawal forms.
Academic Misconduct
§Any instance of academic dishonesty for any assignment will lead to a grade of 0 on the assignment. The appeal process as noted in the Student Due Process Procedure will be strictly followed.
