Duties: perform Pre-FAT, FAT and Integrated Factory Acceptance Tests for Process Control System; hardware inspection, cabling check; I/O check and software application test on Triconex MP3008 ESD; Burner Management System sequencer test; complex control loop and configuration check on Yokogawa Centum 3000 DCS; communication link test with BMS, Mark VI (GE-Nuovo Pignone), CCS and VMS (Bently Nevada 3500); Foundation fieldbus and MCC-multilin communication test; approve the FAT tests and generate punch lists; assistance in closure of punch-list points.
Project: Saudi Aramco � Hawiyah NGL Recovery Plant. Duties: leading
a small group of engineers who prepared the ESD/DCS Logic Diagrams and
Graphic Display Sketches, ensuring compliance with industry & client
standards and best practice for safety and reliability; PCS vendor print
check, package vendor documentation review: thermal oxidizer (for start-up
sequencer), regeneration compressor (for anti-surge control), condensate
pumps, and flare systems. Under the leadership of the principal instrument
engineer I have maintained Control System Database (INtools) and, in joint
effort with the process engineer, I developed the C&E Diagrams and DCS
Control Loop Narratives. Project: ERG MED - Raffineria Priolo Gargallo - Italy. Duties: plot plan of instrumentation system, JB layout and main cables routing, control room cable-tray layout, interconnection wiring diagrams, simplified loop diagrams, process hook-up sketches for instruments, bill of material and cable schedule; INtools activities like Instrument Index, Signal schedules, Instruments Specification Sheets, Cabling schedule and routing; activities on the plant 3D model (PDS-Intergraph) � position junction boxes, cable trays and local control panels, checking the location of inline devices.
