THE LIFE

My friend and I had a visit to a town
Oh! having missed the road,
When the helios came down
Thank God! we hath no load.

Climbed o'er crag for hours
And swam o'er torrents with fears;
The night at its darkest
We reached a forest.

We saw wandering boars
And the lion that roars
We walked with all all our force
And at morn reached the moors.

But still, we had
More miles to reach our journey's end
And we have, we have,
More miles to reach our life's end.
