| Anna University is one of the largest Universities to which about 240 colleges have been affiliated. The main campus and its admistrative building are located in a green campus at Guindy, Chennai. It is a eco-friendly campus where one has to walk all around the campus i.e. no vehicles are allowed inside the campus. It recently celebrated its 25th year grandly. It celebrates two inter-collegiate culturals every year- 'Techofes' by College of Engineering and 'Kalakrithi' by ACTech. So the month of february is always a festive season. It also conducts 'Agni' as a intra college festival as a welcome to First year students. It holds good hostels with basic facilities to hold the out-station students. It has a big Central library with innumerable books of varied disciplines. It has its own Server and internet facilities that are in handy to students. It runs its own FM Radio station 'Anna FM' which is even more informative. |
| Centre for Biotechnology hosts the most productive researchn scholars. It runs 3 Btech programs- Industrial Biotechnology, Food, Pharma. Its runs MTech cousres in these disciplines. The department hosts its separate library and internet facilities for the benefit of the students. A separate lab facility for research is located separtely at about 4 km from the main campus all for research purposes. There are about 40 research scholars working on various disciplines like Tissue culture Drug Discovery, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Protein Engineering, Immunology, Bioprocess. All the labs have state of art facilities. |
