Aya, Yohji, Ken, and Omi are the four young men who comprise Weiss Kruez a.k.a. White Cross a.k.a. Knight Hunters, an assassin group who eliminates certain menaces to the society. Each member has his own trademark fighting style. Aya is adept at fighting with a katana, Yohji has mastered the art of strangulation via strings/wires, Ken is lethal with his metal claws (bugnuks), while Omi specializes in a wide array of projectiles. Under the command of a mysterious man known only as "Persia", the White Cross is dispatched to take care of drug rings, terrorist factions, and the like.

In Weiss Kreuz Gluhen, the White Cross is dispatched Koua. Koua is an academy that brings Japanese's most talented people and students together. The mission is to train talented people to bear the world's future leadership. However, recently, the suicide rate in the academy is increasing and there is hardly any information being released to the public. Fujimiya Aya and Izumi Sena (new member of the White Cross) is sent to infiltrate this school carrying out criminal investigation while disguising himself as a teacher. In fact, actually, there is a connection between Koua academy and the global terrorist activities that are frequently occur. Therefore Persia assigns Hidaka Ken and Kudou Yohji as well into this mission to solve the truth and connection of the incident behind Koua academy. Later in the series, it was revealed that Tsukiyono Omi is actually Persia. Since there was no longer any reason to stay behind the curtain, Omi joins the group in this investigation, uniting the former White Cross (minus Sena).

Characters

Ran Fujiyama a.k.a. Aya - Aya's born on the 4th of July. He's Weiss's most recognizable character and he's often considered to be the leader of the group. Aya's very quiet and keeps to himself most of the time. He's always serious and never smiling. But that's why the girls love him even more. Aya uses a katana as a weapon and his code name is 'Abyssinian'. Aya joined the Weiss Kreuz searching for revenge against Takatori who killed his parents and hospitalized his sister Aya, who's in a coma. If you're wondering why they have the same names, it's because he took his sister's name. In Weiss Kreuz Gluhen, Aya wears glasses and have long braided hair. He is working undercover as a history teacher. Instead of a clunky trademark earring, he now wears a chunky trademark cross necklace.

Ken Hidaka - Ken was born on the 23rd of December. He uses Bugnuks (tiger's claws) and his code name is Siberian. Ken was a J-League soccer player before his career was ruined when someone framed him for gambling. He seems like your normal teenager and is extremely amiable and easy to get along with. He loves kids and coaches soccer for kids during his free-time.

Mamoru Taketori a.k.a. Omi Tsukiyono - Omi was born on the 29th of February. He uses darts, crossbows and bows as his weapons. His code name is Bombay. Omi is the sweetest and youngest one of the group. He's great with the computer and good at hacking to get information for their missions. He was seriously traumatized as a child but now does most of the activities a 'normal' teenager would do. In Weiss Kreuz Gluhen, he is Persia (only known to the others in the middle of the series).

Yohji Kudou - Yohji's the playboy of the group. He's born on the 3rd of March. He uses wires as his weapon and his code name is Balinese. His hobbies are courting women, dating women, hitting on women, sleeping with women (you get the picture). He's also often seen with a cigarette hanging from his mouth and he always wears those glasses. He finally learns to 'let go' of Asuka in Gluhen.

Sena Izumi - Sena is the 'innocent' one in the group. He's born on the 4th of August. He uses a chakram as a weapon and his code name is pronounced as Rabama (La Bamba? : P). He's also supposed to be physically strong?.don't really see that in the series.

Hijiri Todo - Hijiri is the top student of the S-class at Koua Academy. He is actually an artificially crafted human being or a clone. All of his actions at the academy is simply part of the program. When he discovers that he's a clone, he was shocked and overwhelmed, and soon commits suicide.
