This epic battle of good against evil starts because an evil country, Rareglove, is trying to take over the world. Some smaller countries won't stand for it and thus the war ensues. The source of Rareglove's power comes from an evil magical stone called a Dark Bring. In order to combat the evil Dark Bring, one of the smaller countries, Symphonia, creates a Holy Bring, or RAVE. The task of using this RAVE falls upon an arrogant slacker, Shiva, and a strange dog-like creature, Plue. After an intense battle, the pair finally comes in contact with the Dark Bring and Shiva cuts it with his RAVE enhanced sword. However instead of being destroyed, the Dark Bring causes a massive explosion, known as Overdrive, which desolates 1/10 of the world. Worse still, it sends fragments of itself as well as of the RAVE to all corners of the globe.

       Fifty years later, Shiva is an old man and cannot continue his fight against evil. As a result, he hands over the one piece of RAVE he has left as well as his magical sword, the Ten Commandments, to a young 16 year old boy. Thus this teenager, Haru Glory, becomes the second Rave Master. As the new Rave Master, it is Haru's task to collect the missing pieces of the RAVE, as well as destroy what's left of the Dark Bring. But this is anything but easy work. Each fragment of Dark Bring gives the wearer incredible powers, and an evil organisation called Demon Card is using them to tyrannise the countryside. Also Haru is on a mission searching for his father, Gail, who mysteriously disappeared around 10 years ago.

       Luckily though, Haru is not alone on his quest. First Plue, the same weird dog-like creature that assisted Shiva, joins him. Then he becomes partner with a cute girl, who has amnesia and is trying to remember her past. Later several others join, such as Griffon, a strange jelly creature that acts like a perverted old man, and Musica, a handsome thief who has the ability to control silver.

       Rave has almost everything you could want in an adventure title; interesting characters, a good story line, great fight scenes, and touching dramatic moments. My only serious issue with the series is how they drag some of the episodes and also the ending that didn't draw a conclusion for me. Regardless though, the rest of the 51 episodes are still quite enjoyable.^_^

Characters

        Haru Glory - One of the main characters and the hero of this anime who carries a big sword (Ten Commandments) with him. Haru Glory is a sixteen years old boy who lives in Garrage Island with his sister, Cattleya. His mother passed away when he was young and his father left him 15 years ago for some reasons. One day, his meeting with Plue and Shiva changed his life forever. His mission, which was given by Shiva (the first Rave master), was to search for all the Rave stones, which are scattered 50 years ago. Haru is now the second Rave master. However, Haru did not travel alone. Different powerful companions along the way also accompanied him. Plue was one of them.

        Elie - Elie is a girl who loses her memory and in search of it with Haru and friends. During the course of the journey, she remembers bits by bits of her memory. Besides that, Elie also carries with her a pair of tonfa guns. She loves Plue too as you can see her hanging around with Plue most of the times. In one of the episodes, a cool and blue-haired guy named Sieghart chased down Elie. The reason is because she has the power to cast "Ethelion", a lethal spell that causes time to stop and may destroy the world! Elie is a damn lucky girl. When it comes to gambling, she can win overtime and can become a rich girl in a matter of minutes.

        Musica Harmolio - Musica came from Punk Street and had a beautiful girl friend before. 10 years ago, the place where he lived when he was young was massacred. Then a man showed up and brought him up and gave him the 'Silver Claimer'. That's how he got it. Since then, he carries with him the Silver Claimer. It is not an ordinary 'Claimer' as it can transform into many weapons at will. In the beginning, he was mistaken by Haru and gang as Musica the blacksmith of Punk Street. But of course, Haru and gang found the real blacksmith in the end. Musica also joins Haru and gang in this journey to search for the Rave stones too. He too, also had a mission of his own, which is to search for a ship called, "Silver Ray". Musica had a gang of his own too in Punk Street, which was called "Silver Rhythm". Musica and his gang are very close together. Whenever Musica gets into trouble, his gang friends will definitely come and help.

        Ryuujin Let - Let first joined the Demon Card and later in the story, he joined Haru and gang, aiding them with his power. Let also belonged to the dragon race and was a human in the past too. A black curse turned him into a dragon in the past and had to live with it till now. During one of the episodes, he broke the curse and changed back into human form. He also had a girlfriend named Julia. Unfortunately, Jegan, who was from the dragon race too fake Let into believing that Julia is dead by casting a phantom spell. So now, when Let found out the truth that Julia wasn't dead, he was determined to defeat Jegan.

        Plue - The cute snowman liked creature (or a dog?) in this anime. Plue is the Rave bearer, which helps Haru during his journey in search of Rave stones. One year ago before it met Haru in Garrage Island, Plue was a saviour of an Island, called Griffonka Island. Plue saved a group of creatures staying on the Island by destroying a group of enemies called Pudding Army!! Pudding Army is a group of creatures with pudding head. BTW, its favourite food is lollipop. (Especially swirl ones.) There's one thing funny about Plue is that it's nose become twisted when it gets hungry. And also do you know that Plue shrunk when it is dipped in hot water. ^^

        Sieghart - Since Sieghart is the watchman of time, his job was to ensure that time is stable and is in the Equilibrium State. Knowing that Elie has the power of Ethelion (a power which stops time), he begins to search for her and tried to kill her. But of course, Sieghart was stopped by Haru Glory and later realises that Haru can seal Ethelion with on of the Ten Commandments, Loonsave.

        Gail Glory - Gail is the father of Haru. Gail is symphonia kingdom's legal throne successor. His real name is Gail Symphona Glory the sixth. Before Haru and Cattleya were born, Gail and his good friend, Gail Rareglove formed Demon Card. This organisation was formed to exterminate all demons. Everything was fine until years later; Rareglove corrupted Demon Card. Glory insisted that he doesn't want to stay in Demon Card any longer. From that day onward, he left for Garrage Island and married a woman named Sakura as his wife years later. They were living happily until one day Glory learned that his best friend, Rareglove had somehow acquired Dark Bring. He went to confront Rareglove and his family and eventually turned him to the police. On that day when the police came to arrest Rareglove, a shootout occurred and Rareglove's family was killed.

        Gail Rareglove (a.k.a. King) - Gail Rareglove, together with Gail Glory ( father of Haru Glory) formed the Demon Card years ago to exterminate all demons. A few years later, Glory left the organisation and Rareglove's family got killed during a shootout. Rareglove then blames Glory for his family's death. Years later, Rareglove forms the Oracion Seis group. Besides that, he can also summon new Dark Brings.

        Lucia Rareglove - The son of Gail Rareglove, also known as the Blond Devil. Lucia Rareglove surprisingly wasn't killed in the shootout years ago. He was kept in prison in the 'Mega Unit' for 10 years. Sinclair, the mother of Dark Bring accompanied him for the past 10 years. During that period of time, he knew the happenings around the world, including the death of his father. Lucia eventually escaped from the Mega Unit and begins his search for the rest of the Dark Bring scattered around the world. Now, Lucia is the new king and also inherited Decalgous, the sword that Gail Rareglove last used.

Oracion Seis

        Shuda - Shuda is the first member of the Oracion Seis you'll meet in the story. He has a dark bring which can make him control time and space. After a very hard battle, Haru was able to beat this guy.

        Reina - A jade haired and sexy woman who also able to use silvers Claimer like Musica. Her weapon is a silver snake, which is encircling her left arm. Later in the story, you will found out that Reina has a grudge against Lize, the man who adopted Musica.

        Jegan - Jegan is from dragon race, just the same with Let. He has a big black dragon, named Julia. Jegan is skilled with sword handling, and he has the dark bring of wood, Yugodolasil.

        Belial - A big blue demon with two horns in his head. Belial has the darkbring of earth, which make him able to control the ground surround him.

        Julius - This is the narcissi of Oracion Seis. Everything he says is ended up with 'beautifully'. He owned the ice dakbring, which make him able to freeze anything. He also has sword of ice, Ama Detoir.

        Haja - Haja is the leader of Oracion Seis and a great sorceress. He is considered the strongest member of Oracion Seis. Sieghart only can rival his magic.
