        Midou Ban and Amano Ginji make up one of the most successful repossessing/retrieving teams in the business, the GetBackers. With a 100% recovery rate, they promise to get back whatever their clients have lost. However, recovering these possessions is not as easy as it may sound. During their jobs, the duo must put their life on the line as they face professional (and more often than not, lethal) transporters and protectors who have been hired to prevent them from completing their objective... but it's all in a day's work for a retrieval agent!

Characters

        Amano Ginji - Previously, leader of VOLTS. because of Mido Ban, the fact his presence at Unlimited City will impact the life of others there and I guess he want to get away and become stronger, thus he dispersed VOLTS and form GET BACKERS. His parents abandoned him when he was a child and adopted by Takeru Teshimine. When he is in Unlimited City, his strength can reach a maximum limit, which allow transforming him to a Thunder Lord. Ginji won't be able to transform back to his normal self if he fully become Thunder King/King Rei. As he is friendly to others, he was popular & well liked by others. Subconsciously, he become Ban's follower (receive instructions from him).

        Mido Ban - Descendant of a certain witch/wizard tribe inherits the powerful skills from his ascendant & 1/4 of German blood. His past was a big mystery, it make you wonder what kind of past he had. Maybe he has this royal blood flowing within him which make him rather knowledgeable (You will be surprised how brainy he can be, he seem to know a lot stuff e.g. paintings/classic music/wine which can send your mouth wide open). Previously, he was a Getbacker group with Himiko Kudo & her brother. Because of a misunderstanding (Himiko Kudo thought Ban killed her brother for no reason), thus the group was been dispersed. I guess Ban regain his smile once more after pairing up with Ginji (They both act as morale support to each other through good/bad times, thus a strong bond/friendship was formed).

        Kazuki Fuchoin - Previously member of VOLTS, he is the descendant of Fuchoin (Certain traditional Japanese Arts Tribe). To master Fuchoin-ryu , gals/guys are suppose to dress up in kimono until they reach a certain age. On top of that, you have to do/learn all those feminine stuffs such as Japanese traditional dance. Thus, it explains why he is so much a female than male . He & Kakei Jubei are both childhood friends or maybe more than that! ; )

        Shido Fuyuki - Descendant of MALNDE Tribe, he hates evil acts. Previously member of VOLTS, now he kind of work as a bodyguard for Madoka Otowa, at time he work as retriever for extra income, the only character who has a girlfriend!

        Akabane Kurodo - Belong to the top level of Unlimited City, also work as transporter. Very secretive, thus not much is reveal about him. Do not know what he is thinking & whether he has any other weapons other than operation knives.

        Himiko Kudo - Use to work as a group with Ban & her brother, dispersed because of a misunderstanding. Somehow their misunderstanding has resolved, I guess Himiko can't bring herself to hate Ban because there's this love element in between them. Rumours to be "VOODOO CHILD". The reason why Ban killed her brother seems to be associated with her.
