: Our world seems to be falling into oblivion. Evil, violence, suffering are rising at alarming levels, while peace and goodwill are shrinking exponentially in the thoughts and actions of us humans. With HBO's frightening documentary '9/11' reminding us of the harrowing events of that fateful day, Pakistan continues testing balistic missiles while India fights desperately for Kashmir.Palestinian terrorists continue to blow up Isreali women and children in schools and shops, while Israel abuses and bullies its Palestinian neighbors. Wars in Africa kill thousands every day, Afghan earthquakes leave scores of destition-ravaged people in agony, and it has now been confirmed that hundreds of priests, pastors, preachers, and other clergymen have abused their position to perform horrific crimes to young and misinformed youth.
A good friend of mine, Kerri, brought a little understanding to this chaotic world of ours when she used a medium of poetry to calm our nerves, ease our suffering, and answer our questions. Her post-September 11th writing brought many into a mental state of closure, completion, and understanding. Kerri taught us we can rise above our Earthly savage environment and live in peace. I told Kerri recently that she must again rise up, tell us how to survive this crazy world. Again, she has done it. Her poetry has showed us the way, cradled our grieving hearts and taken us to new heights of happiness. This is what Kerri had to say:
