    Gen. Malimba Masheke, a Zambian army officer and politician, served as Army Commander and Minister of Defence 1985-1988; Minister of Home Affairs 1988-89 and as Prime Minister 1989-1991. He is one of the top leaders in the opposition party, UNIP.
