OH). Also in the household are Lovina (24 NY- sis of Ira) and Delia (60 NY-
Perry’s wife?). If Delia is Perry’s
wife, then she obviously didn’t die in 1857!

have no proof (and very little evidence) that Samuel is the son of Holmes
BECKWITH. Beckwith Notes lists two sons for Holmes: George Chipman and
Samuel. George Chipman BECKWITH (c1817 NS) appears in Ellsworth ME in 1850. In
the same town is a Samuel BECKWITH (c1806 NS). This seems to me too much
of a coincidence.

I am assuming that Seymour BECKWITH and
William R. BECKWITH of Saybrook, Ashtabula Co. OH are sons of Chauncey because
they are the only BECKWITHs in Saybrook in 1850. IF Roswell was son
of Chauncey, he apparently married and
settled in in the Mentor, Lake Co. OH area before his father moved on to
Saybrook.
Ancestral File identifies two other
children as Luther (15 Oct 1823 Saybrook, Ashtabula Co. OH) and Sarah (1822
Saybrook, Ashtabula Co. OH). This seems unlikely based on census records. Also
listed is a possible child Charles born 1840.

I have placed Harvey and Erastus in as
children of Thomas and Hannah simply based on name similarities and location. Beckwith
Notes lists two of thier children as Erastus and Harvey, and Harvey had a
son Flavel. Thomas, the father, had a brother Flavel. Erastus and Harvey are
living near each other in 1830. Lots of circumstantial evidence, but it would seem
a logical placement.
