Woodland Indian Re-enacting
Hi, welcome to my page. I am interested in the history of the Eastern Woodland Indians. I have been doing re-enactments for 25 years. I portray a Lenape warrior from the late 1700's. For teachers involved in history or interested in woodland Indians, I do have a program available for them. In the program I show students the transition the Indians went through from the stone age to the modern by their trading with the Europeans. I have exhibits of furs, weapons, tools, clothing, trade items and musical instruments. I also demonstrate methods of making fire and making cordage(taking plant fibers and turning them into twine or rope). Demonstrations also include the firing of a flintlock musket and use of a river cane blow gun.
With the assistance of fellow re-enactor, Dennis Massie, we can give a presentation of two cultures, Native and English. Dennis portrays a Long Hunter on the American frontier.
I have been involved in the reenactment scene for many years now. I have taken part in some films/information promotionals for historical events or for educational purposes.
If interested in an educational presentation I can be contacted.
