Projects: Remote SMS Controller The Remote SMS Controller is a "Terminal" installed at a remote site. It is able to monitor, activate and control functions and collect data about the equipment installed at the remote site utilizing the GSM network as the communication medium. By simply sending a short SMS message, you can easily turn devices ON & OFF. In addition, devices can be monitored also which will immediately notify you of events through user-preset SMS messages at predefined situations or threshold. Tele Remote Microcontroller based circuit which enables switching ‘on’ and ‘off’ of appliances through telephone lines. It can be used to switch appliances from any distance, overcoming the limited range of infrared and radio remote controls. The DTMF signals on telephone instrument are decoded by DTMF decoder and control action is taken according to subroutine kept in Microcontroller. Microprocessor Based Temperature Controller The project is a Type of Automatic control system .Here we used platinum resistance temperature detector as a sensor to measure temperature variations which are traduced into electrical signal using a whetstones bridge circuit .Next is the instrumentation amplifier for calibration and then ADC to interface it with 8085 . The microprocessor acts as a controller and controls action of relay to turn off and on the heater. Programming is done to set single or double set point. Working on – GPS-GSM Mobile Navigator. The system is completely modular in design. It is made up of the Mobile Vehicle Unit and the Fixed Base Station. The Mobile Vehicle Unit is Microcontroller based system consisting of GPS & GSM modules. The GPS receiver detects the position and provides it to the Controller module via serial Interface in the form of NMEA protocols. The Controller module converts the received data and sends it to the central station using SMS. The Fixed Base Station also consists of GSM module which receives SMS from various mobile units and stores it in the database. The base station allows client to view vehicle position on a Geographic map using the web server. My work : Developed Website on 8051 hardware interfacings. The various chapters explain ‘How to Interface’ different circuits to 8051 along with relevant theory, schematics and sample code in Assembly & C language. Developed Webgroup having interesting discussion on SMS Protocol (PDU) dissection and AT-Commands for GSM Mobile Phones and Modems.
