MAHAYANA SUTRA
CHAPTER TWO.
ENLIGHTENMENT - THE EXPERIENCED WORLD OF THE TRUTH

In this chapter, the experiences of three attainers who attained
enlightenment under the guidance of The Spirit of the Truth, His
Holiness the Master, Shoko Asahara.
Here are the experiences of three attainers. They are edited from
everything which they had written down so that they mainly tell
about before and after the attainment. They are the moment of
attainment which are revealed in Japan for the first time. These
experiences should be the precious guidepost to the following
practitioners.
They used to be ordinary people before attainment. The general
human beings who had emotions like everyone else. As you can see
from what they had written, the confession which they had done was
nothing you can imagine from how they acted in their daily life -
killing, stealing, adultery, lies, pride, and so forth. And they
attained enlightenment after all these hardships.
However, I need to add the fact that they had outstanding power of
will which is the condition for the attainment of Raja Yoga, or
devotion, love, and life energy which are the conditions for the
attainment of Kundalini Yoga.
In each Yoga, it take some time from attainment to the perfection.
This is the reason why you may feel some differences in each of
their spiritual levels while reading what they had written. Please
understand that it depends upon how close they are to the
perfection.
ABOUT "THE SPIRITUAL PRACTICE IN THE ISOLATED ROOM"
The spiritual practice in the isolated room is to practice alone
in the room where there is no contact at all with outer world. It
is the intensive practice for the spiritual practitioners who are
just about to attain enlightenment. In the practice of Yoga which
is aimed to attain enlightenment and self realization, it is
necessary to approach one's subconsciousness and to eradicate
worldly desires. The Yogic techniques such as Pranayama or Mudra
before meditation all exists in order to get rid of sufficient
consciousness and to enter subconsciousness.
Spiritual practitioners has less sufficient consciousness compared
to ordinary people because of the spiritual practice. Not to
mention the time when they are about to attain enlightenment. In
this stage, the soul goes and comes back between the dimention of
this physical body and the Astral dimention. Mentally, various
mental struggle occurs in one's daily life due to the manifestation
of subconsciousness which brings the practitioner in the state of
some type of insanity. So when this stage comes, the spiritual
practitioners need to put themselves into the circumstances which
they recieve the least influence from the outer world.
In AUM, a practitioner will stay in a private room which
completely shut off the light so as to do spiritual practice for
the average of 18 hours. Only chance for them to go out from the
room is when they practice Kriya Yoga. Food, toilet, and all other
things are taken care of by the people who are in charge of.
I check the state of the practitioners everytime when it is
necessary, and give initiations. Even when I don't go there, I can
see them through the Astral world. I could recognize the
attainment of Maitreya-Taishi while I was meditating in my house
because I flew to the Astral world and got the information.
In the end, I would like to add that this practice in the isolated
room is also practiced in Tibetan esoteric Buddhism such as Kagyu-
pa.
