Explore different zoos across America. Learn about endangered animals, conservation, and how habitats play an important part in the survival of every living creature. Your Discovery Journal will be handed out in class, make sure your name is prineted clearly on cover page. You have the remaining week in class to finish all three activities. Go through each activity and put your answers in your Discovery Journal. Have Fun!
Activity 1
What is an endangered animal? An endangered animal is any animal that will become extinct if not protected. Remember extinct means gone forever!!
Travel to each zoo and find four different endangered animals. Write each endangered animal down in your Discovery Journal.

The Conservation Experience!
What is conservation?
Conservation is a way that we can help save and protect living things. It is important that we help our environment by recycling, and reducing the use of natural resources, this will help us protect all living creatures!
Activity: Design a conservation poster to help an endangered animal . Pick your animal from the list found below. In your poster you should include a drawing of your animal, why it is endangered, and what can be done to help conserve that animal.
