| ~Spiders~ by The Magus Not so long ago a web was woven over me. No I didn't see...till it was too late. I was left for dead. Once there were no more pleasures to suck from me. So poisoned by venom that they injected... Now not even the Spiders would touch me! I see Spiders, all I can do is lay there... Crawling about, looking at me with a predatory eye. I feel them as I struggle, my senses unaware. Taunting me to come on and fly! If you saw what I've seen would you weep bitterly? Would you still say I'm speaking deluded fantasy? You'd turn your feverish head baby, in my misery... And wish you were blind to the reality. I lay in venom-poisoned coma...I am going nowhere. And I'll tell you my nightmare: When I look around Spiders are all I see! Selfish and untrustworthy, waiting to devour me. How could I trust you when you're all Spiders at heart... Lining up to steal the best part...? Get what's left of me to feed on, before all the rest. Take what you want, trust and forgiveness. Use me up if any bit is left uncorrupted, get your laugh. I bet you thought innocence was delicious. Almost grateful for the coma, I don't feel the pain. And as they laugh and take what they want I wait for my day... It's too late for escape, all I can do is wish for the rain. To come and wash you Spiders clear away! |
