~A Gypsy Night~
 by The Magus

The campfire lighted the circle of caravan wagons...
I heard the strings of a guitar, sounding like a lover's sigh.
The stars shined overhead, illuminating the night.
The fireflies flit about under a dark sky.

I left the camp, to walk a shaded, solitary path...
The night time offers me something I cannot name...
I walked down the path to find my precious gypsy girl.
This feeling we have, like a bright flame.

The darkness as clear to me as the day...
The entire world under a shadow...

I just want to say this...

We love a rose, because we know it can't last forever.
Remember that one day I too shall be gone.
Night time sighs, a dark sky almost blue...
Hands held as we watch the dawn.

This new feelings strong, and yet it is so fragile!
In a way this romance is like the human race.
I hold her hand, as we gaze at the darkness.
Watching the dawn spill across her face...

The sound of water flowing from the bay...
The trees, and their leaves of shadow...

I just want to feel this...always.
