Magüi Serna, who had been a little bit injured in a shoulder (fortunately she is already recovered from that), said that she felt already "good" on court, after that in the last days it was a little bit soft. She didn't want to forget the crowd once again. "I hope that the court is full and that they support us until they are voiceless".

Magüi Serna asked for the crowd support as something that could be really important in her match against the French Dechy, the match that will open this tie. The Canarian said some minutes after the draw that "I didn't care to play the first or second match, but, as it has been this way, I hope to put the team with and advantage of 1-0. This would give us great moral". About her rival, Magüi said that "she is a solid player and is having a very good year" and added that "this is going to be a tough match, although with the crowd support I hope that I can win it".

Magüi Serna recognised after her defeat against Nathalie Dechy that she felt "too nervous" and that she hadn't been able to play the suitable game. Serna said that the nerves "tortured" her and didn't allow her to play a deep game and keep the French behind the baseline. She regretted that the ball was always too short, which benefitted the attack game of the French.

Magüi was about to apologise for her defeat. Really upset, she said that "I think I could have done a little bit more, but it was clear that it wasn't my day. I felt too nervous and even my legs failed. I'm sorry for everyone, and specially for this crowd that was really good and came to clap and support us".

Magüi Serna was "happy with the difference between yesterday's game and today's", although at the same time she confessed that "she is sad because we have lost". The Canarian player regretted having lost yesterday's match against Dechy, because if she had won it "maybe we would have had more chances in this tie".
