Lisa's original Dutch tutorial can be viewed
here.
This tutorial was written for PSP 10.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
2 Images.
3 tubes.
Download the supplies
here.
METHOD:
Open a new transparent canvas, size 600-400.
Open all the tubes and images and minimize them.
If you prefer to use your own pic, mask it first with 20/20.
If you don't know how to do it, follow these steps:
Activate the image.
Convert the background to raster layer in the Layers palette
by right-clicking on the background layer.
Go to Layers --> Load/Save Mask --> Load Mask From Disk.
Find your 20/20 mask and apply.
Go to Layers --> Merge -- Merge Group.
Edit --> Copy the image and paste it onto your new canvas
as a new layer.
You can save the masked image as a tube to use again if you want to.
Do the same with your other images :)
Now after you have done this, we can proceed with our tutorial:-)
Choose 2 colors from the image and make a gradient:
Foreground - dark color
Background - light color
Style - Linear
Angle - 0
Repeats - 0
Fill the canvas with the gradient.
Effects --> Texture Effects --> Texture -->
Find --> Canvas Fine: depth / size 45.
Copy and paste 'zonsondergang-LI'- tube as a new layer.
Shift it to the right as in in the tag example.
Copy and paste the 'pearls-LI'- tube as a new layer.
Drag it to the left.
Change the layer opacity to 70% in the Layers palette.
Copy and paste the 'treasure-LI'- tube as a new layer.
Arrange it in the bottom right corner.
Copy and paste the 'arlbirdfly'- tube as a new layer.
Resize to 70%.
Drag it into position.
Layer opacity on 55%.
Apply a drop shadow: 1-1-100-1.
Now you can arrange everything as you like it.
Copy and paste the 'text-treasure1-LI'- tube as a new layer.
You can also colorize it if you prefer to.
Merge all layers.
Duplicate the merged layer.
Resize the layer to 93%
'Resize All Layers' UNCHECKED :)
Apply a drop shadow 5-7-75-15.
Repeat with V & H on minus.
Duplicate the layer again.
Resize again to 93%.
Merge all layers.
Add a 1 pixel black border.
Resize your image if you feel like it.
Add your name - not too big.
You're finished with the blend!
Have fun!
