Maggie's First attempt at a HYPERTEXT
What is a hypertext?
A hypertext is a postmodern style of writing which involves the linking of various parts of text to each other through links. The most rudamentary example of this is the make-you-own adventure series of books.

How did you learn about hypertext?
In a class at Syracuse University called "Post-modern Reading". In the class we also covered authors such as Jorge Luis Borges, Italo Calvino, Georges Perec, and the OULIPO group.

This first text that I have written is more like the make-your-own adventure series, but I hope to write a more complex, true hypertext in the future. If you'd like some good examples of hypertext there are links below and on my links page.
BEGIN TEXT (if you dare)...  "a day in the life...":
***still under construction****
Links:

Reagan's Library - it is highly recomended to read the introduction first, this hypertext does a good job of integrating images into the experience

253 - a more concrete secenario involving the London underground and a crash
