Well, well well. Only gone a few days, already calling his last commentary his last one only to stun you all with his first commentary basking in the sunshine of retirement. In retrospect I am a slight perfectionist and felt the last one sucked ass. I wanted to go out in style and at least talk about the PPV as well as myself.
Personal Reflection.....
I will get the boring shit out of the way to start with. After 6 years of e-fedding I am gone. Yes, I have been gone before a week as T.F.W.F. CEO in 2000 which sucked and a brief gap a few years back only to come back and have to whip Hardcore Legend's ass, lmao, but this time I cannot see a way back. I think one has to feel very privileged to go out of e-fedding the way Pimp In and Chad did. A Main Event match on the biggest PPV of the year on probably the best card of the year. Despite Mr. Esteves' claims it was the 'second most meaningless match on the card' I personally think it had a lot of meaning. It had a lot of meaning to me because it was a great end to a great time here, despite Hugo's feeling Mark is the greatest rper this fed has ever had and it was a real honour to go toe to toe with him again. After 2 years of feuding this was only the second one on one match we had and regardless of the critic I think we did it justice. For six years here I have battled to the top, I have morphed my character from a 'Godfather-ish' guy to something a little different. To claim I have outlasted so many here is correct because I have. I have outlasted everyone at the top of this federation and although I don't think this makes me the greatest I do think it makes me worthy of one hell of a match at D.O.G. 2004. It's weird thinking of were I have come from as a character. From a supporting cast member in the Southfield Mob, from the other half of the 'Tag Team' to a man who held the World title 6 times. Amazing for me anyways, hopefully I am not straying to far over the 'reality' line if I am not careful I will be inventing random family members, lol, so I best say this last thing on myself. Thanks to everyone for a lot of good, old fashioned, fucking fun.
PPV itself.....
I really enjoyed the PPV itself. The matches were as usual extremely well written and the vignettes were good as well. With the sudden departures of John and Drew it must have needed some last minute editing and yet again Mr. Monks excels himself with working under pressure. The dark matches were simple and effective. The guys didn't deserve the razzmatazz of the main PPV so they got something simple. I am very glad Kaoz and Executioner didn't get in, basically they just were not good enough. Michaels for me only won because he was facing two of the shittest rpers the T.F.W.F has ever had, I don't think he should get too excited especially after reading the rp board today and watching Jay Vermillion rip him apart in a very simple rp. Holliday vs Leary was a much better set of rpers. I like the fact at the end Holliday was put over as a heel with his attack nice way for him to gain entry to the T.F.W.F.. I expect both these guys will progress quicker than Michaels.
Fantastic flash back sequence of me and Mark. Obviously Mark got talked into doing it. Thanks man, it was cool as hell.
Law and Order vs Scally. Again Ian does a great job of working Tuc's departure as the focus of this feud. Solid rp from John, but Rich did a special one. Nice to see Rich getting recognition for his 20th title win. I can see him getting a nice push with Exclusion. Good match to read as well.
Jost vs. Shane was a match I was looking forward too. I think Guille and Jost have really done a great job with this feud and the rps were solid as hell. The match itself was really nice to read and I think told one of the better stories of the PPV. Guille and Jost now have an option to go another round or go somewhere different, personally I want another McClain vs. Anderson, but I am greedy lol. Sleeper feud of this PPV.
Grunt vs. Eno. Eno was lucky to get a match at the PPV being new. He wasn't bad, but I don't enjoy this Jewish thing he is doing at all. Grunt is a typical work horse, clocks in kicks ass clocks out. Good to see him back I am begging Steve not to waste this opportunity as for Kevin I think he needs to drastically rethink were he wants to take Eno Redrum.
Peacemaker vs Torch wasn't as bad as I expected. I felt whoever wrote this match was as about enthusiastic about it as Hugo was rping for it. Is that the writers fault? No, its the fault of the guys who rp'd for it turning it into a bitch war. Hugo apparently felt he got the PM character back on the Main Event path...guess I will have to find this path he is apparently on because the total lack of respect he showed Guille as a rper is not a man who is on a Main Event path. Sometimes we are dealt things in T.F.W.F. to help this fed. Whether it be a title opportunity or a feud out of the blue, instead of thinking you should be doing something else it might have been an idea to embrace the opportunity. A load of guys sat there for 4 weeks with nothing to rp for waiting for this PPV to be over, Hugo and Guille had their chance and chose not to take it right. I think it's important I stress here my reaction to Hugo's site thing. How can I be pissed, I lay into the guy a lot about stuff like everyone else and as I said he made some really good points about things. I have respect for his opinion. However, he does push me to the limit about certain things. His total disregard of Mark's character was a twatish thing to do. Me I accept after all Hugo's post thing was a reaction to me roasting him and Guille on mine, obviously it irritated him, anyway Mark did nothing. Mark has helped get over many characters here, he is a top guy and his rps are a joy to read. When Mr. Hugo says he is on the Main Event path I want him to stop and look around, he can't see Mark Reynolds anywhere near him. Seems Hugo isn't on that path after all, because if he was he would see in the distance Mark sitting there for the last 3 years sitting a cup of tea wondering what he is in store for next. Torch gets a big win here, but I guess it depends on the month eh Hugo, lol.
Hardcore Legend vs Fallen Angel. Sam is the Man. He has been a great top heel for so long and I personally was looking forward to seeing him get his comeuppance, lol, Cliff rp'd well, but Sam is in a zone at the moment. Great build up with the tensions between these two egos being teased for months. The little HL revenge sequences were really awesome on the build up to it. I hope its not totally over between these two because HL is lost in limbo if it is. HL as a face is ok for me, but I like him as a heel.
DG vs TY. My Boys put on a great rping battle, the ending was really nice and the death of the DG career was also well done setting up Harry looking for revenge. Perfect ending to a rushed, but well done feud.
PIMP VS CHAD = AWESOME WRITING, AWESOME RPING, AWESOME ENDING, and now...Ian Monks is the ultimate heel where the hell the boss comes up with these ideas is beyond me, big thumbs up!!!
The men and what they need to do next.....
Adam: He needs to really research his opponents better. Jay just wiped the floor with him, there is no way he can save that match. Accept the loss and take the experience. The rp although showing no knowledge of anything was pretty well set though. Keep trying kid.
Darren: My personal favourite of the three new guys. Not much advice I can offer here except find a small feud with a low rank rper and show the guys what you can do. I also like the England touch to his gimmick, he should exploit that.
Kirk: Best potential character of the lot if used correct. I want to see gambling scenes, losing money, drinking hard and being a Texan, lol. If used well could be a real force in the federation.
Jay: Way to come back and destroy a newbie, lol. Jay hasn't got any direction with his character and I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily. He will continue to pick at the small feuds till he gets something, then I think he has to get his teeth into it.
Kevin: Rethink this Jewish thing man, it does not work. I would suggest like I have to the other low carders finding a low card face and getting a program together and you playing a nasty heel. Man has potential, just needs a chance.
Justin: I am telling you guys now...WATCH THIS SPACE! Man blew me away with his debut rp and proved NRWF offered something more than Dave's dancing. Doesn't hurt being in such a powerful stable as well.
Nathan: Just fucking rp! I picked you as the break out star of 2004, despite more new guys than a Hugo Hate Rally, (lol, j/k), I still think this guy when he got here was awesome.
Jost: Don't change a thing man, just keep doing what you are doing. I really like Jost McClain! RPs really well, sells well and understands how fedding works. I can see a few title runs if he gets another great feud or continues this one.
AJ: Come back AJ, come back. Bring Fido, Ferris, Jimmy, Steve as many goats as you want and the comic genius of J3 and I am a happy man. What can Showtime do? I think he cannot come back into a major feud. He has to comeback and work back to the top again because he is the hard luck story of wrestling.
Hugo: Simple phrase 'Get over yourself'. Lose the ego, you are good, but not that good. I would be a liar to say you are not Main Event calibre on occasion, but you constantly shoot yourself in the foot by blowing hot and cold. A Main Event rper rps well whatever the circumstance. You claiming you got PM back on track is just shit, fact is you were chosen as someone to fight against the DWIWF and destroy, if you couldn't rp with that then you really do need help, but you did. You now are at a transition point again and unless Ian is spoon feeding you a Main Event storyline you are just an average rper. If you ever want to get out of this you have to find something in everything you are given and not just sit there waiting for Ian and the board to write you in as a Main Eventer. Fact is you don't deserve a great spoon feeding on recent displays with Guille.
Cliff: Lost in fedding. Cliff has never really seriously recovered from a break out start and quick rise to the top. In essence he is similar to Hugo in that he rps well off a spoon fed Main Event, but Cliff also works hard on everything he does and in that respect will always get feuds and have people wanting to rp with him. Vinchenzo needs to come big in 2004 and I still want to see Doom and Doomer being dick heads. As for HL, tweak the gimmick Cliffy and you can rekindle the glory once more. Now you are face you got to do it anyways.
Jeremiah: I can see this being disappointing. Granted he had no match, but Jer isn't exactly enthusing me he can make Extreme and The Vigilantes great once more. You got the gimmick and the guys now do yourself some justice man.
Steve: A lot of time for the G-Force. He is sort of like a sleeper rper in that he can hang with the big boys, but people forget that. I hope he and Lupino get the tag belts and do something with them. Steve has a great big man character I just really want him to do something with him this time round. IC title run, Euro title run anything! He is a rper and a half so it's about time it was recognised.
Sam: Has the best heel in the fed. Is probably now the best rper in the fed as Harry has not been tested with his new status and Mark is starting fresh with Twist. I wish he would use Lupino more, Lupino is a great character and could have some fabulous back stories. Sam and Harry should pull off some classics.
Samson: I don't know what to suggest he needs to rise up in his position in Hellbound and then slowly return to his glory as one of the best rpers this fed would have. I would like to see a rise up the ranks and then a feud with Angel down the line as well. Samson has always had an amazing gimmick and his close to 8 foot stance makes him cool as hell. Big things for the big man in 2004.
Guille: The second biggest winner of D.O.G. 2004 apart from Harry. Shane Anderson is a great gimmick and Guille does it really well. He should use this character, but don't ditch Torch. Torch won big at D.O.G. 2004. He beat Maker, won a title, and looks like the 2nd in command to the biggest stable at the moment. Guille should feel good about himself and what he has done. Well done man you deserve it!
Mark: Hurray, he stayed! Haha! Great rper and we all love cupcakes! Nice push back into the fed with Missy in tow as well. I think Exclusion will be a real success with Twist at the heart of it.
Rich: This is your time good buddy, time to forget the hardcore and step it up to the top of the T.F.W.F.. The fed needs you and I could see with your D.O.G. 2004 rp the old burn is back. Embrace it. Scally will make the Hardcore title really important again. He will be Main Eventing soon because he is good enough and for the first time the fed needs him to as well. No choice now Rich you got to.
Harry: Back on the shoulders of Mr. Mouth we go. Awesome rper and has been given a lot of pressure to handle with a new stable that needs to succeed and thrust into a very hot rping Sam Clark with the World title on the line I hope they treat us to 2003 again. Harry is the perfect man for the job.
