Ok, Ok apologises from the heart for the lack of updates recently. I guess I just have been motivated to really get into a full scale T.F.W.F. debate. I have really just been content to stay off the cards and watch Ian use his masterful ability to build up the feud I have been waiting for all my life Chad vs. Pimp In. What? I hear you cry...all my life. Well, ok Naldo vs. Pimp In was something special and can never been duplicated, but I know Naldo. In the case of Chad he is some guy I met from T.F.W.F. who understands what I am trying to do and I understand what he is trying to do. Seen by the 'Magic Of Monks' he thrust us together and slowly and steadily creating a feud which will go on for almost a year at Night of The Revolution of simmering tension before really exploding last summer. Am I proud...hell yes I am.
So what about the T.F.W.F., well it's good to see it back. For all it's critics that we 'do things different here' we always bounce back through our problems. I love the way we solve problems like Ian being away for a bit you get someone like Cliff who steps in and takes the hand off and keeps on running with the ball. Good show Cliff we all appreciate your efforts. As I reiterated before I am more than happy to offer input on feuds and storyline suggestions. I am not a match writer, God I do that shit for a living reporting I don't want to come home and do it. But I don't mind getting the creative juices flowing!
Disappointed this is the only commentary in some time. I would love to see Mark, Guille, Cliff AJ or Sam do something or someone else pop up with a site. I mean how long can we go without the expressed opinions of Frank on file. I still think the supersite idea was a great move. I reckon if AJ got a few guys together they could make a hell of a site. AJ for me has always been the extra curricular guy for T.F.W.F. with things like EWR and the Supersite. Go for it AJ!!!
Ok so down to business. The state of the T.F.W.F. in my opinion is fairly healthy. We have added two rookie superstars in my opinion in Omen and Nathan Malbranque. I like the way T.F.W.F. quickly recognized this and has pushed them both. It certainly makes up for the failed return of Tremere which ruined two great potential feuds with Hardcore Legend and Sean Smythe and of course the 'bomb' who is Nomad. This one burns me up again another RKW guy who comes here with a bit of attitude about how good he is and basically couldn't rp his way out of a paper bag. Ohhhh it's not my style he cried...Ohhhh this and that...get a life man if you can't rp with the push you were given when you arrived here you should never have been in the T.F.W.F.. Face it so many have come from RKW and EVERYONE HAS FAILED FROM IT! That says a simple thing to me and a plea to Ian DO NOT RECRUIT FROM THERE EVER AGAIN!
By all accounts the fed the T.F.W.F. should be milking is IWF. As I understand it was originally run by Phenom the T.F.W.F. 'Almost Made It Man', if I sometimes question his rping ability vs. push I don't question however, his mind for the fedding world. So far he has given himself and Omen to us, fantastic deal if you ask me. Add Munch who did the right thing and said hello on the Guest Book, Hi Munch by the way! And we have three solid recruits from there instead of the long list of RKW failures. I am not going to go into the whole Roughkut is gay debate, because it might upset Cliff again, lol, but I hope Guille sorts out there fed and gets a lot of their egos in check. This is a premier fed, RKW is a pile of shit!
I expect a few in the mail bag about that one! So the returns of Scally and Tuc aka SCUM. Yes, very good in my opinion as long as they don't do a Tremere. They have a lot to offer and I really wish there was a way we could have Scally/Tuc vs Gremlin/Young and Pimp vs Chad. However, how do I say to my brother or Tiger, hold the fantastic rping your doing lads and wait for Tuc and Scally to catch up. I couldn't do that. If we had a comeback award for last year then Drew would be a winner he has shown exactly why he has been so successful in T.F.W.F. as for Tiger he has been consistently one of the great rpers in this fed for the last 4 years he has been here. If I am honest...Scally and Tuc aren't in there league.
The adding of the DWIWF Council is another thing which has impressed me though I do feel two characters need more input. I see both Crème and Smythe lagging a bit as Angel is such a dominant character, Legend is the 2nd in command wise ass and Omen is being pushed as the big man rookie sensation. For Crème he kind of just doesn't fit the mold at the moment. For Crème I would love for him to get a major push because he is too good an rper to not be. He was voted rper of 2003 yet he has hardly been on the Championship scene at all. My verdict would be for him to revert to the stalker gimmick and set up the ultimate Main Attractions confrontation at Night of the Revolution 4. As for Smythe he totally got screwed by Tremere. It needed to happen the whole Master vs Student match. I really feel sorry for Guille because of this, I think he now needs to find someone to help him and latch onto. Possible candidates would be The Ultimate Scally, Tuc or dare we mix reality and fiction and say Mason Reid!
Speaking of Reid he rounded off the year basically as half the character he was, he came here and due to sensible booking tore up the T.F.W.F. and even beat me!!! Shock horror! Anyway since then he was given an opponent way beyond his means in Angel and has suffered because of it. What do I forsee for Mason in the New Year, well turning Tiger and his 'disagreement' into a fictional feud for me won't work I have seen this work before and I have seen disasters of this before. For me this has disaster written all over it. So what could Mason have done? I don;t know I personally feel he could benefit from a feud with a DWIWF Council member like Hardcore Legend or even Torch (though this slightly contradicts my real life feud theory), I actually feel he was somewhat shafted and should have been the leader of the T.F.W.F. Resistance and not Peacemaker.
Yes folks yet again Peacemaker has had another heel/face turn and yet again we can watch him cock it up. I have made no secret of my dislike for the way Hugo operates, it's not necessarily the man, because I am sure he is a nice guy, but the aspects I see of him in T.F.W.F. burn me up. He was given a small comeback and he basically turns round and says fuck you I am not doing it. He makes us try and accept this whole Peacemaker flunky club of X and Armageddon which is basically a way of bolstering Peacemaker by giving him a couple of lackeys. I don't like this at all. In an attempt I guess at comedy he introduces Fok-Yu which is about as funny as seeing Q-Zee naked. Incidentally I was wrong everyone was right Q-Zee is a dick as in accordance to recent guest book posting. Anyway Fok-Yu...what can I say Maker has a massive match and he rps for Fok-Yu in a nothing match...well done Hugo, I think this sums you up because in my opinion you thought the whole Maker feud was below your perception of the Maker character. What burns me up even more is Ian then takes Hugo aside and then makes him face and puts him against the best heel in the business in the match which will decide 3 years of T.F.W.F. vs. DWIWF war! I just can't believe it. One it is totally not deserved and Two it just feeds an ego which doesn't deserve being fed. I actually want Angel to kick his ass totally. End of story.
I get criticism sometimes for my outspoken views on here, but then again you don't have to read it. I was once told who I was going to pick on this week. It's not a question of who I am picking on it's a question of my opinion. Hugo and JD probably don't care what I have said, but this is exactly what I have called it all along. Opinions...
So what else for 2004. Well I have done a predictions bit at the bottom of this much like I did before. In closing I would like to say well done to Mr. Showtime last week on winning the Intercontinental title. He is one of the great out of ring rpers who can just make you plain laugh your ass off with his comedy. Good luck to the team in Ian's absence and looking forward to Night of the Revolution 4.
Until Next Time...Ask yourself...
