Greetings from under a black woman's body (lol JR parody), I thought since T.F.W.F. ain't going to be around for a while I best pass the time with some commentary. I have read the PPV and thought it was pretty good especially since it's Cliff's 1st time. Yes while Ian is a PPV slut, Cliff lost his innocence at DD4. Overall I didn't think it was too shabby, the match quality was high though Cliff can't take much credit for that only what he wrote so I guess the basis of the PPV should be done on the other stuff. I felt on the odd occasion we just jumped straight into a match and there wasn't enough Scoop and Snoop moments where they just talk about things outside the matches as you might see in an Ian PPV. I thought the backstage skit was funny between Earl and The Entertainer, but I wasn't sure of the whole hiding the belt angle. Overall it was a ok PPV, but poor build up on Ian's part meant Cliff had to throw together the infamous 'Breaking News' items which didn't help him out overally much. I don't think it will win any awards, but as first times go Cliff wasn't too bad! Lmao! That is the only time he will ever here that one.
So what did we gain from the PPV? Well first off we have a brand new Heavyweight Champion and as I predicted a while back, Angel has finally won the big one. I think it was deserved, but only just as per usual Chad was off the charts. What is does set up from a pure storyline point of view is a big question over who will be the number one contender for the new Champion. Tiger is out in real life, so that's a bit of a no brainer and I do believe he is the most logical choice for the new rival. Chad therefore I would say will be the favorite, he did get semi screwed out of the belt so he warrants a rematch, plus I don't see anyone else. Myself I am sort of in with what I would call the 2nd favorite, I think Mason is a little 'green' still and Torch really hasn't got the standard. From a storyline perspective if Chad would have retained then that would have been better, he could have matched up against any of the DWIWF Council or Mason Reid if they felt the need. It will be interesting to see what happens, but I am saying Chad rematch.
This of course begs a lot of questions with the return of Da Gremlin, my good old brother. Obviously he has fucked off Torch and even went for Chad so that sort of leaves the question on were his brother (Pimp In) and his best friend (Tiger Young) stand with or against the scamp. I have no idea what is going to happen although we did do a similar storyline back in the early days when Drew (my brother or Rew as I call him) first joined and I wouldn't fight him even though he was hired by The Firm. This eventually led after a few twists and turns to Pimp In vs Da Gremlin submission match at Death or Glory which we both really enjoyed. Since then we also had a Heavyweight title match at the first Autumn Annihilation which was cool, as well. All in all I always consider my brother an asset to this fed, he can rp well and has a unique character. He also learned how to become a better comedy rper from guys like Cry Baby and a better cocky character from Tiger, that's why I think he will be good once again because he is willing to learn.
So taking that into account your sort of Main Event and Upper Mid Card is pretty much a mystery!
I would say the same for the mid card as well. I didn't personally enjoy the Night Hawk rp, but did enjoy Torch and Lupino, I just don't like the Night Hawk character because I can't tell what I am suppose to be fighting. Is it comedy or is it serious? That would be my biggest criticism of Martin is he doesn't do comedy well, what he does do well as next door neighbor psycho path that paints himself in Dulex white immolation whilst watching you mow the grass. It just doesn't interest me I found myself struggling to get into the feud of JL vs NH vs SS because I don't think Ian did a good job with it and then like way too many secondary characters were introduced, Lupino's girlfriend, a bartender and all of a sudden Torch was riding a bike and became Sean Smythe information overload I think. Still the belt stayed with the best guy for the job as well as the best rper. I think they still have issues to resolve (NH vs JL vs SS) so I think I am hoping for too much when I want Joey Lupino vs. Crème de la Crème.
So what about a few other things. First off I am not keen on the return of X, I make no secret of my dislike for the way Hugo handles himself on occasion in T.F.W.F. and how difficult it is to rp against him because (if we were real wrestlers) does not sell well. However, I am not the boss and obviously there is a purpose to X's return so we shall see what happens, one idea might be for him to join up with The Entertainer, that way we have a new occasional tag team and Hugo can just write for both of them instead of pretending not to be Charlie/Projectile.
Speaking of the Tag Titles I think the next logical step is remove them from Mr. Showtime. First off he has no partner and secondly AJ is sub-standard in the effort department. The most frustrating thing about AJ is that he is a comedy genius yet he spends what little rp time he uses to post waffling on about something not related to T.F.W.F. and about the homo-erotic fascination J3 has with Showtime. It is like the Odd-Couple. Granted it's funny, but I don't think it should win him many matches, in which case I will write you a few episodes of friends. I would personally put the straps on a couple of members of the DWIWF Council like say Night Hawk and Hardcore Legend, just for them to occasionally defend. I think The Insane Asylum need to go and neither Doom and Doomer or The Mac Attack deserve the gold yet.
Both due major pushes are Grunt and Mason Reid, I hope to also see more from Mervin Miracle, D-Zaire and Tito Tequilla.
So looks like we are down for a bit, I have no plans to join another e-fed just keep on MSN, keep the chatter going and maybe start putting in some more work at home on my stories instead of just getting by.
Until Next Time...Ask yourself...
WHY BUY IT?
WHEN YOU CAN PIMP IT!
