Hey everyone, long time. Well since Hardcore Ledgend is wanting a damn update the Pimp Daddy will give him a damn update!!! Lol, no seriously Cliff is right it's about time I graced the place with some thoughts. How did T.F.W.F. come off Night of the Revolution 3? I think pretty well, it looks a hell of a tournament to write because there are so many matches, but I thought the PPV was excellent.
The Main Event which I obviously was in was hot, I think Legend deserved it here for months now he has put himself on the top of the pecking order alongside The Sickness and in all essence he produced the best stuff when it mattered. Do I think it will be a long reign, not sure on that, see at the moment there is a lot of really good competition out there. Night Hawk, Fallen Angel Chad, Tiger Young, Torch and Peacemaker are all able to produce fabulous rps at one time or another some with a little more consistency. For a long period of time Chad was sort of stuck there with nobody to give him a run for his money, not to say just any old dude could beat Chad because I still think he is consistently the best rper in the game at the moment, but none the less his competition has increased recently. Let's hope Invader decides to make his return because Chad vs Invader, well for me that would be a dream feud to watch. So Legend in short a deserving winner, but for how long will depend on those around him cause there is the talent to give him trouble.
I didn't think the Hardcore title match was really going to go anywhere, basically when two guys contrast so much, it will be difficult to keep them working together and at some point I gather there was an OOC bust up to. Crème did he deserve to win? Not sure in my opinion, he sold certain aspects, but his rping seemed uncomfortable in Maker's domain and in all honesty I think Maker should have come out on top.
Both the lower card matches European and North American aren't going so well either. I have been quite frankly disappointed with the level in which Mr. Showtime and J3 have put forth recently. I believe both El Diablo and Pounds have been trying for this feud to work, but AJ for one reason or another hasn't been into it. Quite frankly when AJ brings his A Game not many people can match him for comedy I just think at the moment he is not brining his A game. Therefore the North American title needs something or someone to give it a boost. If it doesn't work they should drop it soon and allow Pounds to go somewhere else as its not fair to him.
The Tournament was great, the first tournament was way too much about me and Tremere, the favourite against the man who if he won got a number one contender shot at the Heavyweight Champ. The second was all Young, this one it was very open. I loved the indecisive ending to Young vs Angel, I loved the fact Torch got beat by the underdog Twist in the 1st round and reminding us of Dependence Day 2000 IC title match between Chaos and Young in the final (one of the feuds people of 2000) was a nice touch. Yes, Young won, yes it was deserved, but I figured what do you do with it now, nice to see the board realizing the screw job on Angel and seeing that the tournament ending doesn't just end at the PPV.
Recently the T.F.W.F. was hit by four departures, Samson, Nemesis, Snap and Naldo. Now I am good friends with Naldo, but I think he went out all wrong, he had a chance not to bitch at Ian on the Guest Book, explain his situation and go out nicely, now all I have a memory of Naldo will be the fact he probably won't return to the T.F.W.F. again. Samson and Nemesis was never going to work as a Tag Team, frankly Nemesis has never been overly committed to T.F.W.F. even when he was big here and him going doesn't surprise me. Samson has always been like the old wise man backstage, now that is gone, it's sad to see some of my friends calling it quits at this point when I do believe the T.F.W.F. is generally rocking and rolling with fun. I guess its time for the new generation to take full force and I got to ask myself am I still valuable to this site. Am I too dated in my rping and do I really have anything more to offer? I will allow you guys to decide.
Snap was the big surprise to me. The guy had potential a lot and yet at the same time he just wasted it away. He could have stayed as a solid midcarder in this fed, but he tried comedy and it never worked for him. Snap might have been bitten by Giles Chadworth's hopes of reforming the PFL and once again his character being on top of a league which really was all about him and Pounds and a couple of Razer type people just below them. That's fine Jeremy, but remember the competition is here. Every man in this fed could go to some shit assed federation and be their Champion, but people stay here because it is the best. Roughkut forumns can post any old shit about feds being the best, I don't give a rats ass, the weiners on there can call the T.F.W.F. this and that and that and this but the fact is this is the best and that is the fact. 5 Years this year people I think that speaks volumes.
Speaking of which new guys. Well Gabriel Hale let's not go there cause he didn't come here. The Criminal, bold move by the powers that be to let himrun with the IC title. Seems to have paid off he isn't a bad rper though he likes his gay references, he kind of reminds me a lot of Ian Joseph. I thought Joseph was good, but I think Joseph thought he was a lot better than what he was. Although Criminal seems to have his feet firmly on the ground, I am still unsure whether our IC belt is a little early for him. Floyd has been a waste of time in my opinion what was the board thinking a crap ass Hogan gimmick. No, no and further no if the guy rp'd hey maybe I can except it. Cage McDonald to me is the brightest spark to come out of the new guys. He doesn't carry with him too much hype, he doesn't seem to mind if it takes him forever to get to the top seemingly and I think he has got solid foundations. Now he hasn't got the ability of The Criminal our other new success, but then again there are some habits in The Criminal I would change and the fact Cage McDonald is a little green allows him to be molded in the right way. I am not saying everything we do is right and everything The Criminal does is wrong, but what I am saying is Cage McDonald hasn't got any bad habits yet.
Potentially if all things seemingly head in the right direction we got 4 classics developing in front of us. Tiger Young vs Fallen Angel, The Peacemaker vs Night Hawk, Hardcore Legend vs Torch and Pimp In vs Chad. Four classics written all over it. I love working with Chad, only man out there who seems to ruely love the style I do as much as me and does it better than me. Mark old buddy I am seeing this as something great. No longer will it be Pimp In vs Naldo...can we see the epic which is Chad vs Pimp In.
Anyway I did have a commentary done this week with Jeremy Sanderson about Snap Sanderson but since he has left probably a day or so after I wrote it with him...well it seems stupid to post. But I am sure Hurricaine would be here saying 'holy Hypocrite'
Until Next Time...Ask yourself...
