I was kind of bored today and felt it was time to grace the T.F.W.F.ers with a little old commentary from Pimp In. Where to start? Nice to see both Ian and Mark's absence hasn't hurt the T.F.W.F., it had meant when they had gone in the past the T.F.W.F. suffered now with Guille, AJ, Sam, Hugo and Cliff their is a strong enough team to keep the T.F.W.F. ticking over till they return. Well my main concerns this week are looking at a few of the those key areas in the T.F.W.F..

THE DRAFT:

I thought the draft was a major success for the T.F.W.F., Ian has obviously got the idea down correctly having the characters of Ian Monks and The Management trying to put on the best shows they can and yet benefit their respective stables. The reappearance of Night Hawk was a total shock to me and something which I think can really benefit the T.F.W.F., I like the way they have said Hawk is still Main Event caliber, but not given him Chad or Kole just yet, but teased a feud with Naldo a man in the Main Event picture, but not necessarily a title contender. So who got the better of the draft? You have to say DWIWF, I consider Tiger Young to be the best rper in the game at the moment so that's a plus, but the main area they won is the solid midcarders and eventual Main Eventers they got. Both Grunt and Hardcore Legend have seen significant pushes recently and Snap Sanderson and Michael Pounds are both on the rise as well. On the flip side the T.F.W.F. lost its only significant midcarder Torch to the tag ranks, they have quickly elevated Fallen Angel who was sort of mid to upper and have left a gapping whole. I don't see the characters of X, Protégé or J3 filling these areas just yet. So all in all the DWIWF scored the biggest win via the draft, more pushing talent and more established talent.

HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE:

Despite calling Tiger the best rper in the T.F.W.F., I firmly believe Chad is a deserved Champion. His rps are tremendous and one thing he and Tiger do very well is never defer from their characters leaving you with their chilling closing lines. Anyway so we have Chad as the Champion and King Kole as the number one contender. Now forgetting all the crap we saw a few weeks ago on the Guest Book, I still would rather see Chad against Tiger Young again. The chemistry the two have is great and I just don't know what Kole has. However, there are quite a few openings in the Heavyweight title scene at the moment. From a face point of view there is still Night Hawk and Fallen Angel who are both very capable of challenging for the belt. From the heel perspective their is Tiger Young, King Kole and Naldo. I don't believe that the number one contender has been decided just right yet for Chad at Hard Steel 2002, I still believe the other 4 men can give King Kole a run for his money. In my opinion you have six of the best here and that sums up the picture.

INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE:

Now if the split has done anything it has weakened this division tremendously. The current Champion Hardcore Legend is at the stage which will ever make him or break him as a character. I honestly believe the IC title has broken many careers by having it rushed down them too much. I would cite Law and Order as an example as a character who got the title too quickly, recent examples I would cite would be Crème de la Crème, Torch and Mr. Showtime though since they are all still here we are not sure. You then take the example of Chad who built his way up through this belt and look where he is now, then again Chris Chaos was one of the men that was known as a great Intercontinental title and yet could never go that extra mile. So what for Hardcore Legend...well let's first look at possible competition for him. Torch has committed himself to the battle to save the Tag belts which is commendable, Iian Joseph despite making me say 'GREAT FIND' with his rping is too fresh for the push, that pretty much leaves us with X. Hugo as an rper is pretty good, but has spent the majority of his T.F.W.F. life making the Peacemaker one of the most feared men in the game. Now X is his main focus, but is a completely different character to Maker, hell he's even a face! I think this division needs a major face lift, I believe Hardcore Legend should be the Champion, but on what grounds will he make a great one unless we throw a few guys his way.

EUROPEAN TITLE/LHW TITLE:

The hottest character in the T.F.W.F. now is Sherlock Protégé and his sidekick Dr. J3some I have no idea what the plans for them are, but all I know is the European title is a hot title at the moment. Snap Sanderson, Billy Schmidt, Twist and Michael Pounds are all in the hunt for the Euro gold and on the flip side replace Pro with Pounds and all are after Pounds. I think Mike has done a great job of balancing his two characters very well and to be honest could even feud with himself! Hell from a angle perception it makes sense more than anything. Ttwist is the moist solid secondary character in the game and might well pip Mike to becoime the Light-Heavyweight Champion again. This six has endless possibilities they can make tag teams or feud with each other, it is by far the most promising division the fed has at the moment.

HARDCORE TITLE:

You want to make a title worth something you put the strap on recognized great rpers, straight from the success of the Hardcore Legend and Joey Lupino feud the belt found itself round the waist of the man with the monster push Grunt. Now for any guys wondering how to get back on track in the T.F.W.F. after leaving, watch this man, came back with a strong gimmick and set of ideas and Ian and the card writing team bought it and pushed it to the max. Simply known as the monster Grunt has made this belt a something belt once again. I mean feuds with Fallen Angel and Night Hawk show how much Grunt has as apotetnial main eventer rper and how much the Hardcore title is now valued. Great rper and great belt. So who there for Grunt? Well Car Thief hasn't even bothered to do an rp since returning so I think its pretty much on one of the Clarks whether, Angel, Lupino or Hawk to make this a success. Grunt is a monster! Fear him!

WOMENS TITLE:

Finally something possible to report as I write this I hope the unthinkable doesn't happen and Kevin the Chimp becomes the new Womens Champion, but at least we can say stroke of genius and doing something with nothing. Maybe Shriek and Painz should get a kick ass program going.

TAG BELTS:

Yes, The Attractions are still the Champions, but rather than saying who is next to be destroyed its which team might get these guys first. Torch might not be the worlds greatest singles rper, but what he does have is determination to make something work and he is trying his ass off with this new tag team, on his flip side from what I have seen of Joseph he might be the thing Torch has needed all along a genuine great and original rpeing partner which helps cover up his short comings. He might have it in Ian Joseph. Then we have Doom and Doomer funny as hell and showing the variety of Cliff Imig talents including a rather funny ass mockery of my own character in Pimp Hugh. Then at a push you have the detective duo of Pro and J3 so basically we have a few tag teams to finally make Crème and Show sweat a little at night.

VERDICT:

The T.F.W.F. or the DWIWF or whatever is in fantastic shape at the moment I hope the draft will lure back a few old faces, maybe a Peacemaker a Damned Yankee, maybe an English Invader, who knows what lies a head, its just nice to have a good old read on the net and see it being still worth wild.

Until Next Time...Ask yourself...

WHY BUY IT?

WHEN YOU CAN PIMP IT!
