This is my sixteenth commentary on the Love Shack, and I have at least tried to make it sweet. I believe the last couple of weeks have been an explosion in rping magic. It truly shows how much we are again taking off. I am feeling the T.F.W.F. Is making. I have decided to leave last week's 2002 predictions for the year on the Week's Good and Bad page. I have always been pissed when people kind of forget these things and then some guy at the end of the year says...Oh I said that would happen and everyone is like, no you didn't this way I can never ever be disproved! Sorry pet peeve of mine. I might as well start with the Naldo vs. Pimp In feud. I hope everyone enjoyed myself and Naldo's joint rp last week I never really touched on it as much as I should. We debated it for a while and added our input equally. I think the image we are trying to portray is Naldo has completely and utterly lost the plot. The reason being is we want Naldo to have been so consumed with jealously for Pimp In. Naldo is considered the T.F.W.F. Heavyweight Champion, but the fans still consider Pimp In their hero. Naldo wants both to regain his hero status and be the Champion, what has drove him mad is he can't understand why the fans don't see him as a hero, feeling therefore once he eliminates Pimp In this will come. From Pimp In's point of view I wanted to portray a side of Pimp In I have really experimented with a man who wants to not be remembered for his cash and his movies and his fame before for being respected as the greatest, therefore I have introduced Pimp In's devilish side his agent Max, Max will talk to Pimp In all about being a star and making money a trait we have always associated with Pimp In, but as the story develops hopefully the true Pimp In emerges the man who wants this match not for the TV revenue, but to finally prove to Naldo he was the man who deserved respect. I am hoping it will be good. I think I got this idea over a little bit in my own rp for the week and Naldo followed his insaity idea comparing himself to Jesus in his rp for the week. I really like the idea of tagging with the Damned Yankee to face Naldo and Young. Reason being is simple, I want to slightly distance the Pimp In from Maker. Maker don't get me wrong great rper, but we have a history that probably needs sorting out in a match. It might never happen, but my main focus is on facing Naldo and if necessary having that as my goodbye to the T.F.W.F..
The Tiger Young and Damned Yankee feud hasn't got off the way I thought it might. It seems to me Yankee seems more interested in a feud with Maker. I don't reallly care who feuds with who I just wouldn't like to see Tiger Young left out in the cold. i thought his rp was excellent this week. One gripe I still have with Yankee is how he gets other people's characters over in his rps, I didn't understand why Tracy was running around embarassing Shriek in the street, surely Shriek's character has proven to be a hard a nails bitch with good looks. If him and Hugo worked it out that's cool and all, just something I noticed. The Chad and Peacemaker fued seems cool to me. I think the elevation of Chad is something that has been needed for sometime. I also think Maker has gotten over the ending to the PPV really well, I love this temporary memory loss thing. What is has done has given a certain boost to Hugo's secondary character X. I am not usually a fan of secondary characters, but in the exception of Chad and Maker the seem to do quite well with them. I question now whether Car Thief and X will be put on hold and whether Kevin the Chimp will disappear as X becomes a serious contender to Chad and the Haven leadership, real fun read fellas.
I do however feel feud of the week has to go to Chris Chaos and Torch. I have never been a fan of James Bond-esque rps, maybe it's because I could never do them with my character and because the only time I did one was when I was doing a commercial for one of Magnum Pimp I movies. However, in this scenario we have seen the come back of Chris Chaos. I don't think anyone apart from Chris deserves any credit for this. The storyline I am assuming the death of Razer wasn't A-material for both men to work with, but I think they both did well. I really liked Chaos' trip back home on receiving his phone call from his parents and the family tension, how much did everyone else hate Chris' dad, lol. Anyway this was followed up with for me rp of the week when Chris Chaos went into the bar and looked for information of Torch. I liked how he separated Smyth and Torch as two people because it added depth to Torch's idea for his own character. The switch to discuss why he was going to beat Chad was great and I do believe the man I didn't think could lose the Intercontinental title will lose this week to Chris Chaos.
The situation over the European title seems a little strange. I am not sure what role Joey Lupino seems to be playing at the moment in the feud and why we are harking back to Fallen Angel shit. I personally don't want to see a return of the Angel character as I didn't like him. Chopper also hasn't rp'd this week which I put down to the season of holidays, good old Chops my pal in real life is away from Uni and I guess that's were he rps from. I do like the inclusion of Twist in this feud and I like the way he came in off the back of Scally going to Exclusion. My only concern was Twist moving to the European division might leave a massive gap in the Light-Heavyweight division.
The reason I say this is because I don't think Michael Pounds will be there too long. I think if Pounds continues with his rps he will sky rocket to a mid carder in search of the European or Intercontinental Championships. I am a big fan of Pounds, I did question earlier whether he should be in the T.F.W.F. anymore, but seemingly the heel turn has done him the world of good. I would hope a feud with Snap Sanderson is coming on.
Reason being is I don't like the Mother/Jane Snap/Flint feud anymore. The two points of view about the characters seem to have completely been jumbled up. We read Snap's rp then Flint's and they make absolutely no sense. I think maybe this one might need to be killed off. Or at least discussed between Flint and Snap.
The feud with the Tag Team Championships can surely start now. I am kind of sick and tired with reading the Insane Asylum are in the number one spot or there abouts and the same with the Compton Crew. The Insane Asylum in my opinion topped a week division for a while. When the Asylum started getting competition like the Extreme Players or Chad and X (name escapes me), teams putting great rpers together the Asylum just didn't cut the mustard. The same with the Crew. The Crew rp ever now and again and I know they are a low ranking team in the T.F.W.F. an opening card hence why the don't rp a lot. Another ingenious move by Ian to make sure we have low, mid and main event status give people to option of rping less with the instruction of not expecting a lot of wins. Something maybe the Asylum should do. What I am saying is the Main Attractions are in a league of their own as far as rping, comedy and timing goes, If I didn't know Crème and Show were different guys you could assume the same guy was writing for them because they work so well with each other. Therefore to read that it might be the Crew, or Asylum or Totally Cold (I am assuming less of a team) or the now defunked God Squad (seemingly for the best) are challenging to me insults Crème and Show. How glad I was to hear The Babe and Da Gremlin were making a tag team. A team which can rival the Main Attractions for comedy and all that other good junk. I do believe these temporary teams in something we need to have more of and ditch these traditional teams. Basically Crème, Show, Gremlin and Baby could rp amazing and win as singles as tag it adds weight to the belts. I am predicting a goodbye to the Insane Asylum and Compton Crew. I think the Asylum haven't got the enthusiasm and the Crew handler could do more with Car Thief. Ian was asking me to put together an opinion page on supoerstars with suggested comments of improvement, I don't really want to do all that and I know it's been suggested to other site holders as well as a constructive criticism page so I thought I'd review the champs pros and cons:
Naldo:
Pros: Really come into his own as a new gimmick. Very really do people's characters metamorphosize in e-feds, Naldo a prominent face for many year now a truly insane heel.
Cons: I do think sometimes Naldo needs to stop with the catchy sort of leave you hanging rps with short and sweet stuff and actually go into a little more depth.
Chad:
Pros: Possibly the greatest character development we have ever seen, I have a lot of time for Chad and reading the rps. I like the way he has a freak show and is putting together different exhibits in it. Reminds me of a game I played on the PC called Sam and Max a detective dog and rabbit who solved a kidnapping at a circus I picture Chad's freak show like their Circus freakshow.
Cons: Has been a secondary asset to the Haven for too long and it's time to branch out. Although I think he is on the rise I wonder to what extent the Chad character might change for the worse if he does so.
Chopper:
Pros: Funny when he wants to be and serious as well has a good mix of rping skills which makes him a great asset to a fed. I like the true Scotsman gimmick as well and have it be known he made Angel...maybe thats a con.
Cons: In an unproven stable, with no real feuds and doesn't rp enough, I know best quality rps win so he wins there, but we need to understand the Chopper character more. Needs to elevate the importance of the belt like Young did.
Main Attractions:
Pros: Give time will be a better tag team than me and Naldo with the chemistry they have. Comedy timing plus the introduction of characters such as Fido the Goat and J3 make me laugh harder, actually fell off my chair laughing once at Show's millionaire rp. Amazing read worth logging on for.
Cons: No competition unless Babe and Grems give them a run for the money. Sometimes being a tag team makes you lax in rping for yourself, I think Crème will do this first. I can't possibly see a way for this to end, someday too many homosexual innuendos might be enough.
Hardcore Legend:
Pros: Has given a little stability to an unstable belt. Starting to come into his own as a comedy rper/serious one. Has also proven that the autumn recruitment of new stars wasn't a waste as he is one of the gems of the bunch.
Cons: Needs to find a permanent feud, I don't think Scally is the answer, also needs to define himself more and define his gimmick more I am still unsure what Legend is all about.
Tha Method:
Pros: Excellent rhyming skills and a cool as tag line of street dreams, I have liked Tha Method from day one and think he might actually be the gangster gimmick the T.F.W.F. has been craving for sometime.
Cons: Not excited to read about his girlfriend at all, needs to revert to his old ways of coming to the ring and putting down a guy in a rhyme. Either he does this or I think Pounds will walk over him.
Shriek:
Pros: She slept with Pimp In pro for her anyway, maybe Shriek is just a pro at heart???....seriously, she actually makes reading women based rps worth a decent read. I liked Shriek's character for sometime. Maybe she should lead the Haven!
Cons: Shit division and before Hugo thinks about nobody wants to have their male character job to a woman!
Until next week ask yourself the question.
WHY BUY IT?
WHEN YOU CAN PIMP IT!
